My experience with juice. 70pg30vg 5050 and 70vg30pg What's yours?

So being an intermediate level vaper (multiple units, juice fever, first rebuildable on the way, way too much money spent on vapes in a short period of time), I experimented with juices.

Started off with 70pg30vg. IMO the best mix ever. I use a 6mg nic content and I feel that this ratio has the coolest, thickest, cloudiest hit.

Tried 50pg50vg. Absolutely hated it. Burnt the .... out of my throat not pleasant at all. I attributed this to being higher in VG content. vape clouds were not thick to me, and the throat hit was harsh. Mainly this vaped too hot for my liking, it almost felt like smoking an analog.

Finally, 70vg30pg. Oddly enough, I thought this mix would kill me with the throat hit like the 50/50 but it was smoother and produced better clouds for me but not nearly as good enough. The vape temp was cooler than 5050 but not as cool as 70pg30vg

My question is what are you guy's experience with the diff ratios and what does 100%PG and 100%VG vape like?:rickroll:

So far I'm finding I like more PG than VG. Like 70/30 PG/VG.

It does seem to depend on the liquid maker though.

I don't like VCV's 100% VG. Pleasant, quality liquids but basically unsatisfying except for vapor. But what good is vapor if you can barely taste anything and there's pretty much no throat hit.

Night Shift is pretty good though.

I use 60-70 PG juices and really like the flavor and vapor production. I only had a few 50/50 mixes that were worth using (one vendor and his is almost as thin as others 70pg). Most are to damn thick and don't have the flavor I want. For me, I'd rather have the flavor over pluming clouds of vapor. I don't have a PG sensitivity, so have never had anything with higher VG content but from what I've read these usually need a higher flavor concentration.

Ratio has a lot to do with wicking and clouds, but the flavors are what cause a lot of the distinction. One vendor that does 35/65 mixes actually is actually thicker and harder to wick than the 100% vg juices I use. I don't care too much for PG, but I still use it. If I didn't I'd probably be using a higher level than 24 in my tanks. I mainly stick to the 35/65, 50/50, and whatever AiV does, with the occasional 100% vg. Like I said, flavor consistency is just as big as ratio. So I try to remember to include thin, moderate, or thick with my ratios on ecf. Pink spot is thin 50/50. Jvape's is a thick 50/50, and so forth.

I've not cared for higher percentage Pg e-liquids; I use primarily cartotanks and this ratio is too thin for my liking, is slightly harsh, and has less vapor production. I've pretty much settled on a 50/50 blend - not too thin & not too thick.

I once ordered my favorite flavor in both a 50/50 and 100% Vg just to see what the difference would be between the two. Honestly, if this had been a blind test I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference in flavor or throat hit. The 100% Vg had a slight increase in vapor production. My conclusion from this very unscientific experiment was: the difference between ratio's doesn't make that much of a difference to myself.

When ordering a new flavor, if given an option in ratio I opt first with whatever the manufacturer suggests. They make it, they know which is better, or at least they know from what their customers order most frequently. If no recommendation, I go with a safe 50/50 ratio.

I'm going to be trying 65/35 PG-VG, I've never had anything but 100%PG so I'm interested to see how this tastes. I've only bought juice, up until now, (tsunami) from a local vendor or the tobacco juice I used to stop smoking from V2cigs. I suspect whatever the ratio I'm going to love it since I've been basically vaping inferior juice. (V2 sahara did do the trick so I can't complain but Tsunami is absolutely awful.)

I prefer anything 50 to 70 PG but no more than that or it gets way too thin. Depends on the juice vendor also IMO, ECBlend has terrific strong flavors so a 50/50 mix adds some subtlety and also allows for a good cloud. Boba's is 100% VG and I like that just fine, but some of the 70/30 or 80/20 VG to PG mixes I have tried came out somewhat flat.
