How did you cut out and mount the cat and the moon? Looks great! All cut by hand and filed?

I tried using a Dremel for a lot of it but even the Dremel cutter wasn't doing too good so I pretty much drilled out a few holes where I could and then used some small hobby files to finish. The files actually did a pretty good job and I liked the fact that I had much more control over it. After getting the shapes out, I then pressed in some 40ga. Gold and brass metal sheeting from the back.
Thanks again for the likes. It was something I had been thinking about for some time and finally had to try it. I'm fairly happy with my first one and yes, an awesome canvas to play with.

Interesting that you pressed the inserts in. They look like you had them as molten metal and poured them in.
I thought the same thing when I first looked . He did a nice job clean
