I'm at a military site doing an server installation and while jamming away on the keyboard, I stop to take a puff on my ego. Navy guy comes over and asks me some questions about his servers, then asks if my ego works. I tell him it did for me. Explained my reason for wanting to quit smoking and how when I received the ego, it was instant that I didn't need to light up anymore. Like most people, who want to take a puff, there was an awkward silence. So I offered it to him. I explained how to vape and handed it over. He took a puff and choked. Took another and said he liked it. Then asked if it always tasted like French Toast. We then got into a flavor discussion and I explained juices and mixing.

Later on in the day, he came back with a sheet of paper and asked me the same questions all over again. I explained it all AGAIN, then started showing him websites of vendors that I have used. The entire time he was writing.

The next day, he comes in with a huge smile and says that he bought everything. He bought the Ego, cartomizers, debridged atomizers, 36mg nicotine, PG, VG, glass bottles, droppers, syringes, capella flavors. Downloaded both Dan's calculator and the ejuice me up calculator. This guy went all out!

I told him that I was excited for him and that I hope everything worked out. Since receiving the product, he's said that it makes him cough. I thought he maybe using too much nicotine as he said he wasn't sure what level cartridge he was using. Said he let his friend use it and it didn't make him cough. He then said he made a juice at 9mg and it still made him cough, but he believes it's because he's a little sick. Said he couldn't taste anything either, but the wife said it smelled like cinnamon toast crunch in the house.

Either way, I'm excited for him and glad I hope he sticks with it.

It's most likely inhalation technique. Or, my wife coughs like mad if she uses a high-PG juice; that could be the culprit too.

I totally agree that the converts who are most likely to 'stick with it' are the ones who come to YOU and are motivated. I've stopped pushing vaping on people, and let them come to me now. It's tough -- I'd love to just go nuts expounding on it to every smoker -- but seems most likely to take.

Somehow I have to agree with AJ. I feel if the curious ones out there arent willing to spend a little money of there own to get started their just not ready to give up the analogs. They will try it but probably won't stick with it only because their not invested. When one invests even a small amount of money on vaping IMO they will at least stick with it till the batteries die or run out of juice.. But what they don't know is by the time they run out of batteries or juice most likely they will be hooked on VAPING

He came to me today handing me his PV saying the words "cherry cola". I tried it and it was good stuff. So a little off subject, Capellas Cherry Coke is good. I almost kept puffing on it.

So, this guy has bought all the supplies, has already made some juice (tasty juice at that), and I think it's safe to say he's definitely invested.

I asked him if he was completely off cigarettes or still transitioning and he said over the past week since receiving the product, he's probably smoked a pack. So from 1pack a day to 1pack a week. I think that's absolutely amazing!

I'm excited for him and can't wait until he brings me another juice to try. I have a vape buddy!
