And it happens to be the HelloTech 016 from mad vapes. It's supposed to be a device who's battery lasts all day, and I can appreciate that.

Just got delivered today, and I'm liking it. No camera or I'd take a picture, but check it out over at Mad Vapes site. Price is right too.

I'll have to get a spare one on payday so I'm never without one.

After I've tried it out most of the day I'll write a better review, but I'm a vaping fool right now.

Well after 33 hours with the thing, I can say it does last a good long time and I'm happy with the product. It came with a factory charge and I vaped it all day and night last night. Great flavor in my juice, and decent enough vapor production. I was fine with it anyway.

However....

There seems to be some issues with the charging devices and I'm not the only one having problems. It is a two piece charger. An AC to USB adapter of some sort and a USB 510 charger you attach to the adapter. This is supposed to make it a "quick" charger.

The quick charger is supposed to charge the thing in 3-4 hours. For a 1300mah battery that is hella fast. But...even though the battery was not fully spent when I put it on the charger last night, this morning when I got up the LED was still RED. That was 10 hours after plugging her in.

So I vaped almost non-stop on her today and she finally gave up the ghost and blinked at me at 6:45. I don't know it was still the factory charge, or if the LED on the 510 part of the charger is faulty.

But I'm trying an experiment over night tonight, and going to let this baby charge in my laptop USB port over night and see what happens. For the last few months I've been using the Good Prophets 5v PT exclusively with 901 attys or a 901 to 510 adapter to use up the life in some clone 510 attys. Those things vape too cool for my liking, but the just won't die. Trade off I suppose and if it came down to it I could probably get used to them.

I guess it boils down to this. If the battery life (charger and all) stands up to the claims and it continues to hold a good charge for more than just a couple weeks, this will be a real winner. Great for times when you will be away from home and ability to charge anything anywhere. 3 well charged batteries should get a moderate vaper through a long weekend of camping.

And this reminds me that I have some things to ship off to Gena. I keep forgetting and it's all packed up and ready to take to the post office.

Gena... it's the long term effects of Dopymax....I swear....(she'll get it)

Thanks for the review, Redd.

Have you tried an 808?? I've been so impressed with mine,,, it charges quick, the bats hold a charge quite a while, and the cartos are sooooo easy to fill. It definately is no 510 in vapor production, but it's so darned effortless to use.

It's not where it's at for people who want 5v, though.

No I haven't tried a 808. Mostly because I have gotten away from stock batteries because I vape them dead before others are fully charged, and packing up a suitcase of chargers and supplies to go too and from work isn't appealing anymore.

Also, the main reason I purchased this unit were the initial reports of "all day" battery life. I have a week long training coming up in Ohio in August and I'll not have the luxury of swapping batteries out of chargers. I'll be away from the hotel from breakfast until near bed time. I was seeking out a device that will take me through the day with few worries.

Also with the summer festivals coming up, having a good all day unit to take to the parks and street dances and not be caught with dead batteries is another huge bonus for me.

So anyway, going the "slow charge" route last night, I woke up to a green LED, and so far so good, the battery is producing great. (Although I'd forgotten how little juice stock round 510 carts hold, and the 901 carts do not hit the bridge of the cone atty on this MOD.)

I'm keeping track on how long the battery lasts today and over how many days it keeps charging to it's full potential.

Some other (not all, just a few) new owners are finding that the battery life drops dramatically after the first couple days, so I'm keeping a close eye on that as well. I'm only 2.5 days in, so I have a ways to go to see what other issues, if any, arise.
