So I'm new, and been lurking for a while. To introduce myself- I've been vaping for nearly 4 months and completely cut analogs out of my life right away. I got several co-workers vaping as well, and have used this site to find recommendations on equipment and a brick and mortar store near me (for my first purchase I wanted to see the stuff, went to Headlines in Nashua, NH and got a Joye 510). I quickly realized their juice was garbage though and became passionate about Kick Bass Vapors which has been great.

I have a few lingering concerns and would love some help from seasoned pros. I'm ready to invest in taking the enjoyment and convenience to the next level, and there are a few things I'm just not sure of. Advice and friendly suggestions greatly appreciated...

Basically, I love the Joye 510...despite reading about how great some of the beefier devices are. I just can't get past the need to replicate an analog, and for now am going to roll with that. That said, I'm not 100% on the battery life, the inconvenience of dead batteries, or the filters.

1) Looking at a couple of sites, I don't know who to trust and they don't all have great descriptions. Is the "Mega Battery" or "Joye XL" compatable with the charger and atomizer and will simply provide better life? I want to have a couple extras on hand and am ready to order....should I not be getting the regular ones?

2) What is the deal with PCC's? This seems like it may solve some of my problems, but I'm still not 100% on how they work, and some look really cheesy. Am I correct that you plug the PCC in, then with no further wires you can charge your 510 battery 5 times on the go? Is it electric or USB or does it come with the means to do either? Also, if it doubled as a total carrying case it would be a lot more convenient, but none seem to have a spot for an e-juice dropper inside?!? Do any? Which one should I get that looks sleek and would meet my needs?

3) I feel like I could be enjoying my filter a lot more. Looking online, I can't tell what is actually better, and what is just overpriced. They were 40 cents each at Headlines so I just picked up a ton of extras. I feel like it dries out quickly and I'm always paranoid I'm going to run it dry, so I top it off constantly. Are there any out there that hold more juice and are cost-effective? I also tried the pyramid tea bag mod, and did not enjoy it. Maybe I folded it wrong, and it would be awesome if there was such a cheap, obtainable solution to this....but I felt like it didn't absorb right and I kept getting juice in my mouth.

Thanks a ton!!

between here and there
1. Yes the Joy EX can be charged with the 510 charger
2. A PCC is charged with a usb cord and a wall plug in and can be used as a carrying case for batts only.
3. Have you tried cartomizers? they are the atty+fillercart in one device.

For one convenience. They hold a lot more juice than a cart so you don't refill as often and you can usually refill them several times.
Let me see if I can find a link somewhere for you.

a PCC is a charging case - you charge the case overnight then it can charge a battery 3-4 times.

For standard 510 batteries check out the great PCC at NoSmokeVA.com - that is what I use.

510 Mega XL batteries are longer (about 128mm w/ carto, longer w/ atty+cart). They use the same charger. They need a different PCC and the only PCC available for them is the metal Joye one with one charging slot and I think room for 3 short items (i.e. 1/2 the storage of the NoSMokeVA standard battery PCC). VaporKings.com has a 510 Mega PCC that comes with an adapter so you can also charge a short 510 battery in it.

I LOVE my 510 mega xl manual battery. if there was a nicer PCC for them I would use the megas all the time. But the NoSmokeVA PCC is so nice that i use standard 510 batteries during the day. Note - if you open the PCC you need to restart the charge when you close it.

Re mega atty and cart - you do not need them and people have problems with them. I use Boge 510 cartomizers on my 510 (standard resistance since that is all you can use on slim batteries). if you want to hold more juice I say go with cartomizers.

Thanks for the tips...I think standard batteries would be fine, if I had a PCC. That NoSmoke VA one looks quality....but like all of them it has cheesy writing, haha. I wish there was a nice sleek maate black or stainless one that worked well, looked nice, and had an empty slot for a 15 ml juice bottle and still be the size of a cigarette pack.

I think I'll definitely order some cartos when I order the PCC, maybe that will solve all my issues.

I'm so frustrated, and literally begging for an opportunity to fork over my money for this stuff. Every one of the sites has some BS...cartos only available in pink and tan, batteries that are out of stock in the only size that fits the PCC, Cartos only available in Black and batteries only in white...AARGH!

I just want a PCC, 2 extra batteries, 5-10 matching cartomizers, and maybe an extra regular atomizer. Is there any vendor where this doesn't have to be a headache?
