Hi there! So I bought the Joye 510, and most people on here will agree that the 510's have good throat hits, well I'm not looking for that. PG is harsh enough on me that I don't want the equipment to hurt my throat anymore. So what I want to know is, what equipment would you recommend that has the softest throat hit or no throat hit.

I would suggest the DSE901. Gives you very good flavor and hardly any TH. Just my personal opinion.

I typically get little throat hit from my 510, but sometimes a lot. I think it depends more on the juice than the model of cig. Try going to a juice with more VG than PG, or even 100% VG-based juice. I vape mostly tobacco flavored juices from freedomsmokeusa.com, and I get TH when I tweak with clove. Also varies with how hard/frequently I draw on it. Longer/slower draws, with a bit of rest in between will be easier on the throat. If I hit my 510 like shop-vac, it can get a bit harsh.

The 901 tends to give more flavor and less TH although as whistle stated it also depends a lot on the juice you are using too. You may want to try a different juice or maybe a slightly lower nic level. Best of luck with what ever you decide.
Get your juice from a site that gives you the option of PG/VG %'s. I don't like a huge TH either. VaperBomb and Tasty Vapor are my favorites so far. Both of them give you the option of how much PG to VG ratio. With VaperBomb I got a 50/50 mix and it was very nice and with Tasty Vapor I went with a 65/35 mix and it's amazing.
You just have to get the right mix for you. The higher the VG mix you go, the less TH you'll have.

My favorite juices are all 100% vg. I got 'em from Cignot.com. I haven't made a final decision on pg juices yet. First there's less vapor and for me I seem to be getting little gum irritations in my mouth. The throat hit thing doesn't bother me either way. I think it's overated but that's me. I will say though that the best throat hit juice I have is 100% vg cappuchino flavor. Not my favorite juice - just my best "throat hit" juice.
Ditto your comments Irwink. I still don't know what's the deal w/ throat hit. I never had th w/ my regular analogs...always liked them smooooth, not harsh. The same way I like my vaping.
I too use 100% vg from Cignot. Really enjoy their Chill (after acquiring the taste) as my all day vape. At 25 mg nic, it's refreshing with no th and but loads of vapor. Between th and vapor, I choose vapor no question.
Asharp, it's NOT your 510. Consider increasing the vg content, or even try 100% vg. I vape a 510 and it's giving me a ton of vapor w/ minimal to no th...just the way I like it. You might like it that way too.

I use both a 510 and a 901 and honestly dont find a lot of differnce as far as TH goes - it depends on the juices.
The only differences I have found with a 901 is that my fruit flavors prefer (or seem to) the cooler unit, and taste smoother because of it. I have a few fruits and theres one that gives me a massive TH (I prefer a softer TH btw) and makes me cough. Theres another that is very low nic (might actually be zero) that gives no TH at all. So it could also be the nic content thats affecting the TH (people differ so it could be that or something else, thats what it is for ME I think).
My all VG juices do tend to be less on the TH UNLESS they are also higher nic too.

I've recently found out I have issues with PG so I do use the VG at about 70/30 ratio. the brands I use are vapor4life nad vaporbomb. Also have been playing with DIY and my nic level is at 16mg. I don't vape all day, and I give my PV a god rest between drags, but especially in the mornings it feels like liquid fire in the back of my throat. Maybe I'm a wuss.....
I agree about the comments about the juices but I feel that the 801 gives the smoothest vape.
