Greetings all! First let me thank the regular posters here at ECF. The knowledge I have gained from lurking ECF in the past 2 weeks since my very first vape experience from a disposable Blu has been invaluable. So again, thank you.

I finally decided to join ECF after making the decision to give up the analogs in favor of pursuing the much more enjoyable experience of vaping. 24 hours analog free and so far so good!!!

My journey so far: I bought the disposable Blu on a whim from my tobacco store while there picking up my weekly supply of RYO tobacco. The nice new Blu display caught my eye and after talking to the less than helpful clerk, I bought one anyway. From the first puff I knew that ecigs was something I would like to pursue. I went back to the store the next day and purchased a rechargeable ecig called Bulldog. Didn't like it anywhere as much as the Blu though. Went back to the store a few days later and expressed my displeasure and to my surprise was refunded my money. I've been a customer there for years and doubt they would have done that for many people. The clerk (a much more helpful one) then showed me another kit called E-Luminate that consisted of a 900 mah ego type battery, 2 clearomizers, and USB charger for $29.99 and a bottle of juice called Gold also by E-Luminate for $11.99. Loved it from first draw! Then, because I can be a little slow sometimes , I thought, "hmm, bet they sell this stuff on the interwebs." Google brought me here and I quickly learned how overpriced my new rig and juice was and where to get quality products and juice! I am currently using a 1100mah ego with CE4 clearomizers, vaping 24mg 10Forty and American Blend from Mom and Pop Vapor Shop! Saving my pennies for that first mod and tank set-up!

Hey and welcome to ecf. majority of us end up paying a lot to start because of the whole "honing in" on the good stuff. CE4s are a good start from the whole blu cig types but there is a plethora of choices nowadays... but im sure you have seen all of that if you have been reading around the forums.

I have a relatively big juice collection from several vendors but i for some reason always end up ordering from Mom and Pop vapor shop... According to tracking they are only like 3 hours from me so shipping is usually 1-2 days for me. In comparison with the more popular ejuice sites their juices are pretty competitive. The bottles arent as fancy but they have been recently adding new flavors.

Thank you all for the replies and warm welcome.

Day 2 of no analogs is going fine! No cravings and feeling satisfied...lovin' it.

Another thing that made my decision a no brainer leaving the analogs behind is that the vapor doesn't seem to effect my spouse's asthma. I've not been able to smoke in the house for years and even if I smoked a lot in a day, the smell on my clothing could trigger an asthma attack. So far no issues, no complints, and fingers crossed!

I bought some V2s and some Fins. Both made me happy...to a point. I still use them because they are discreet and don't put out plumes of vapor... yes, I know counter productive thoughts. But there are times when it is simplicity over vapocity that is required.

My local shop dealt with Volcano products and I saw the Lava Tube 2 got good reviews, but I was not in the mood to drop $139. This was before I found other suppliers. I wanted local, so I knew who to turn to when in need or I had questions. They just got a shipment in of some Itaste MVPs. I bought one for $65. It is variable voltage, but little else. It is a very simple device to use and the battery is large enough to last me well over a day, or even charge my cell phone in a pinch. It is what is called a box mod. I like how it fits my hand and pocket.

I have some new toys on the way, but the MVP was/is my first "real" device. Once I get my new VV/VM device I am sure I will get odd looks from my wife while I insert batteries into a tubular device that lights up. At least it doesn't vibrate.

There are great arguments for getting the best you can and I won't discourage that. I will continue to use my MVP no matter what other toys I end up with. Having a less expensive, but viable option is good too.

Welcome aboard and congrats on having the guts to embark on a better more satisfying and healthier journey. Don't beat yourself up about spending a few extra pennies. Job 1 is to get away from analogs, sounding like you are on the right path. Think of it as investing money in yourself and your future. Its money well spent.
