I just ordered my first Sub Ohm mod, got the EVIC-VT-60W-TEMP-CONTROL on the way. It has the .2Ni and a .4Ti head with it. Heres some questions. I have been using VG based liquid for years now with a 32mg nic level. Its a 85/15 to a 80/20 mix from what the vendor says. Here we go. What would the recommended starting temp be and the wattage be for a starting point? Something like 40W /480F temp?

I would also like to know, seeing Sub Ohm mods burn the liquid mush more effectivly, Is the 32mg Nic to much? I do not want to over do it. I have no problems at this time with my Itaste 2.0 and my AGR Carto tank, but the Itaste is getting weak and it has life but i have no idea how much seeing its 2 yrs old.

All help and recommendations would be very appreciated, i dont have the $$ to go through a bunch of stuff seeing me and the wife have surgeries coming up soon. I hate feeling like a noob after 4+ years, but this Sub Ohm stuff looks great and i just want to start out right.

PS. I have to use VG because of reactions to higher PG liquids.

Thanks for any help.
Harry

Edit: Sorry, thought you bought the mini!

32mg would be a little harsh for me on a setup like this, I currently use 3mg. If it does seem too harsh and you don't mind a loss of flavor you could dilute the liquid with plain VG from somewhere like Walmart using an online eliquid recipe calculator. I vape unflavored myself, so that wouldn't be an issue for me.

What color did you choose?. The racing stripe on this unit is really snazzy.
It has very good reviews on the forums, although some say that you should move on to a different tank.

I'm not sure about the vapor production on the Tank that comes with it, but if
it's like most of the high vapor producing tanks 32mg is way overdoing it.

Be prepared to move down to 3mg, 6mg, or max 12mg.

I used to vape at 32mg and on high production devices went down to 6 and then
with my Crown Subohm I"m down to around 3mg.

I have the VT & the VTC Mini Both good Mods but if I were to buy one today it would be the mini only for the fact the firmware can be upgraded in the Mini & I like the replaceable battery but still love my Cool Black VT
I also agree you may want to cut the Nic level down may be harsh hitting but I only run 3Mg also

32mg would be a whole lot of harsh, when I had switched to sub-ohm even my 12mg fluid was extremely harsh and dropped to a 3mg fluid.

For a starting point I would try 300-450*F in TC.

As for consumption, you're in the wrong department. Before I had went sub-ohm I would go through maybe about 10ml a week. Now I'm going through a 30ml bottle a week. Sub-ohm setups WILL consume more juice.

temp control seems to use a lot less juice than normal sub ohming

Definitely want to cut nicotine in half at least. I love my eVic VT for TC. eGo one tank is ok but with rebuilt coils and wicks I got mine producing twice the vape as the stock coils. A lot more juice consumption. I used to vape 5 to 8 ml a day. Now with sub ohms I am 15 to 20ml a day. Moved far away from the eGo one tank now but use my eVic VT daily. By daily usually means it gets split time with atleast 3 other mods through the day. CHEERS!

Thanks for all the replies. I did get the mod, Its the black with red stripe. Have not even opened it yet, put it away until i am out of Catro's for my AGR tank and Coils for mt Kanger Mini Pro Tank 2, have 7 of those left. My next juice buy will be around xmas if im lucky. I go through maybe at most 3-5 ml a day now. I hope i can order more juice sooner but with money so tight its sometimes not in the budget. My last bottle of 120Ml lasted 3 months and i am at my computer most of the day taking a hit here and there while reading or playing a MMORPG i have been plugging at for 10+ years. Mostly mouth to nose exhale hits slow exhale because my lung (right side) sometimes cant take the direct or mouth to lung inhale method vape lol figures right?

I love the mods reviews from YouTube and from Independent reviewers, seems pretty easy once you get the hang of it. My only concern is whats up with the room temp Ohm locking? My house is always 65F because my son can not sweat thus if he overheats in bed or for any reason he could die if we cant get his temp down. Will this be a problem? 65F room temp? Thats about my only concern. I wish locking in the Ohm was explained in more detail in the reviews i have seen and what i could find here.

I am also looking on Ebay at the very cool graphics you can get for this mod, im a biker and the whole skull and bones thing is very HOT looking.

Could someone direct me to a good link on a very in depth review of the mod and its use, theres one or 2 i watched, but in none of them show or say what juices are good to use with each kind of head. Ni-200 or the Ti.
As i mentioned, i can not use PG in large amounts, the place i get my juice has the VG base only option and it runs around 80/20 to 85/15 and it does not reach full flavor for about a week or 2 in my dark storage unit(its also not a very dark and not a huge flavor juice). I know alot of people use VG chasing clouds as it was called in one review, thats not my wish, but a nice one would not hurt lol. Just hoping the juice performs well in the mod with whatever head works best. Again thanks for taking time to answer, today is the first time i have been able to sit down and read and go try to find a bunch of reviews on the mod and all of your replies. Sorry for the wait.

Vape On!
