Hi all, I would like to give you a little back ground on me before i talk bout my vaping experience thus far. I am a long time, heavy smoker(about 15 years and the last 6 years I was up to about 2 1/2 packs a day) I've tried the gum,the patch, and everything else to try and quit. The problem is I enjoy smoking (not unlike most smokers),but I had to quit it was getting expensive. So for my birthday I ask my wife to get me an e-cig to try it. Over the next two weeks we looked online.I did want it the look like an analog (color did not matter but size was key)so that narrowed it down a bit
We had it down to three choices and I went with the volt by smokeless image we ordered it the Sunday before my birthday. There is the back story.

Day one Wednesday it came just so happens it was my birthday
Took it out and tried it with the watermelon flavor it was interesting so I vaped it for about 5 to 10 min I went back and forth the rest of the day with it and the remainder of my analogs.

Day two finished off my analogs around noon and vaped the rest of the day(still the watermelon)I was superized at how well it took the edge off. Then came dinner (big meal to) I went for my volt expecting to curb the craving but it wasn't helping much I figured ok let try the menthol that's what I smoked anyway. Like a light switch boom the big craving was gone now this menthol is much more mintty then what was in my wides. I was happy.

Day three:I only used my volt by now I'm running low on menthol so I order more as well as another batt and the pcc. Now on my first order I got three flavors menthol watermelon and kamel The first two I liked but the kamel was pretty gross for me.

It is now day four and I'm still analog free but running low on cartos. I will be vaping for a long time coming.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any future support

Steve-O

...then a month....then two.....then ten! There are people who have been doing this for several years already! Stock up on juice, and try lots of different kinds. I'd suggest getting some blank cartos and filling them yourself...lots cheaper than buying pre-filled, and lots tastier. You're doing great! Keep it up. Stopping smoking with an e-cig is soooooo much easier than any other way. Aren't you proud of yourself? You should be.

I was always successful getting off the nicotine with the patch but I would eventually go back to cigs. I always found myself thinking about them especially when having a drink. When I was smoking I always thought about quitting because I felt like crap and when I had quit smoking I always thought about having a cig. Total suck nightmare... Anyway, these things are a godsend and I am very satisfied using them and I feel good. I have read so many success stories similar to mine so I am sure they will work for you. Happy Vaping to you.......

I honestly don't mean to hijack Steve's thread, but as I posted earlier, I'm only a day ahead of him and tonight was rough. Saturday evening and I was grilling outside with Crown Royal in a glass (which I kept recycling). But I made it through and I'm headed for bed now. I ensured my e-cig kept a fresh battery & nicotine cartridge in place, so I got "hits' when I needed them. Were they exactly like an analog??? No... but the difference wasn't worth dying early for. Off to bed now. I wish support to Steve and appreciate all the rest of you. Andy

Congrats Steve_O!

I'm on day eight and continue to marvel at how easy it has been for me. Like you, I tried all the other ways to quit. I never made past a day or two. You'll have urges, but not like cold turkey. They come and go. The trick seems to be vaping like mad when the urge comes. That's worked for me.

I'm only at one week, but I feel ten times better.
