I have to share this with someone. I thought it was funny. Keep in mind, this was before I found this forum.

bkgd: My DH quit analogs 3yrs ago on Chantix and became on of those "Ex-Smokers". He was bugging me constantly to quit. I tried everything except Chantix, but Dr ruled that out because of potential side effects. Anyway... heard of ecigs & found a company that seemed & proved ok to start with. Did my research and found out that these are basically mini fog machines. I quit analogs 1st time on 7/29/10! Plus, I could use it in the house because it didn't stink like analogs.

3 days later I get into his beloved truck to go to the grocery store. I pull out my ecig, take a puff, and he tells me "No smoking in the truck."
I tell him "I'm not smoking, I'm fogging."

I still can't fog/vape in the truck. :glare:

Poison, tell your husband that you'll quit vaping in the truck as soon as he quits drinking coffee. The vapor from his cup of coffee is much the same as the vapor from vaping.

Auntbeast, sometimes there is a smell. It's usually just a slight smell of whatever flavor you are vaping. So, it may smell a bit of cinnamon or vanilla, but it's not at all offensive. The only one I've read of being offensive to anyone was a clove (I think that was it) that had a really strong smell and the person complaining didn't like clove.

I do notice a smell but only while I vape and of course that varies on the flavor. I think I was using a regular tobacco flavor at the time or a chocolate or vanilla.

Auntbeast, funny you should mention clove. I too love clove, got some juice mix with that in it. My DH too hates cloves, smell & all. You're never too old to love clove.

So, do they stink like whatever flavoring you use? How strong is the smell from them? I haven't really seen that addressed yet. I was thinking it is more taste than smell, but am I wrong?
Hey I noticed the smell to be reminiscent of a candle burning. The smell of a scented candle-- is about how strong the smell of vaping is. And u usually can't smell it unless you're vaping alot in an enclosed area...

Oops. I'm on here 1 day and I think I may have started a new trend. LOL. Really, I didn't mean too.

Before I came here, all I had was my previous research. When I saw that the ecig contained PG and heated it to produce smoke, all I could think of was my 2 fog machines. Both use PG & water. The small Halloween one is made so you can add water soluable scented oils to it. So to me, my ecig is a mini fog machine. That was one of the selling point. If fog machines are safe enough to use in public places, like small bars, it's safe enough for me to use as a cig alternate.

Happy Fogging!

I have a commercial fog machine, it holds 2.5 gallons of fog juice. Are you telling me that I could mix up a batch and just stand in front of the fog machine? :)

It can fog 30,000 sq ft pretty quickly, talk about a vapefest!

OK, now I'm imagining an old VW van with FOG billowing out when the side door is opened... anyone remember that movie?

Fogging to a new level... ROCK... um, FOG on!
