First off I know there's a section dedicated to other NRTs but I really wanted to share this with my fellow Canadians. If the mods deem it inappropriate by all means exert your power and move the thread.

About a week or so before Christmas I decided to order some SNUS - just for the heck of it, to see what all the hype was about. I did a bit of research, read through some forums and felt like a complete noob just as I had when I first started vaping and discovered ECF :)

So I placed an order from Northerner for about 8 "tins". To my greatest surprise it made it from Sweden to Quebec in about a week! I cracked open the package and placed a pouch under my lip. I was on my way out to the dog park and I decided to leave my PV at home. I was a bit weary of not bringing it with me and it felt weird, but what was even weirder is that I spent an hour and a half at the dog park and I didn't even think about vaping once!

I've since been using it on and off, mostly in situations where I can't really vape and I'm constantly impressed at just how effective it is. It takes about 5 seconds from the time you put it under your lip to that "aaaahhhhh" nicotine feeling we're all so accustomed to :)

Will it replace vaping for me? There's a very good chance that yes, but that's because of my current living situation. My office has been turned into a nursery so I've been relocated to the dining room where I can't vape openly because my son is around. I personally think that it is a great complement to vaping and I urge anyone who has ever thought about it to give it a try!

My 2 cents...I was a long time (10-12 year) snuff, chew and occasional snus user when I couldnt smoke. Since starting to vape, my gums dont hurt, my teeth feel tighter and forget about the gross spitting, or even worse swallowing that comes with it. I feel all smokless tobaccos are right behind cigarettes inso far as health risk. Google images of snus cancer....not for me anymore, i just hope I didnt leave it too late. I would strongly urge EVERYONE to avoid it, IMHO....

I lived in Texas for 6 years when I was a teen and dipping snuff was fairly common. I did it a bit, but stuck with smoking for the most part.
How'd you like to see guys like this walking the streets and leaving brown spittle everywhere? :D

I wouldn't go as far as that, especially when there are several studies that indicate otherwise. While I don't believe it's a 100% safe alternative, neither is vaping.

"There are plenty of indicators that the switch from cigarettes to Snus in Sweden has resulted in substantial health benefits. Sweden now has the lowest rate of tobacco-related diseases in Europe and the world's lowest rate of lung cancer in males. While using Snus is still highly addictive, it is widely held to be between 95% and 99% less harmful than smoking."

Hahaha I remember dipping as well, nastiest stuff in the world.

Snus is in a small pouch about the size of a thumbnail, when placed under the lip people don't even know it's there. Also there's absolutely no need to spit, you're not producing any kind of excess saliva.
