I rarely buy juice anymore. If you start DIY you quickly realize that it's about 80% cheaper and that you can replicate any commercial juice quite easily.

...which got me thinking, because I, too, rarely buy juice since I've become reasonably competent at mixing my own. While I don't find it so easy to replicate many commercial juices, perhaps because I don't really try, I have found that I enjoy more and more of my own concoctions just as much (and often more) than my favorites from juice vendors.

I still purchase some commercial juices, but they are exceptional ones that I greatly enjoy. And, as time goes by, I develop recipes that I like even more and I purchase fewer and fewer of even the exceptional commercial ones. It's now at the point where ordering juice is kindof a hassle, since I can whip up something wonderful myself in under 10 minutes and be vaping it in an hour (or, with some, a day).

I can see the day coming when my juice purchases will reach zero. More likely, it will end up being like cooking at home vs eating out. I eat out to enjoy fine cuisine that I don't have the talent or desire to make at home, but 99% of the time, I cook at home.

I was wondering how many other vapers out there are following this same path?

I am pretty much down to purchasing one juice that I can't replicate. The rest I mix myself and you were a big help when I first started so thank you so much. I find it both fun and rewarding and I'm saving $$$.

Wow, thanks! That made my day. I do really enjoy DIY and would do it even if it didn't save me money. That it saves me cash is a huge bonus.

DIY your own liquid is so very easy. Literally takes seconds once you have an idea of what your flavor(s) will be. It is much less expensive. (Until you start buying tons more flavors and get hooked on trying all of them out, ) I still try a sample or two of what everyone seems to think is great, if I like it, I try to replicate it. Usually those are easy, something like waffle. I really just enjoy mixing my own and experimenting with flavors to see what I get. Certainly cheaper and more fun!

Greetings,

Yes, I have been on the DIY bandwagon since I started vaping. I have only tried commercial juice from 3 vendors, and while it was tasty, I can honestly say that I can do just as well, if not better with DIY.

That being said, I am not too sure about saving any money since I have to buy flavors. I have a TON of flavors, some of which I will not use again, and some that I havent even tried yet. In the end, I am sure that the savings will be realized if the flavorings don't go bad.

Regards
Jim

The main reason I mix my own juice is that I can customize it to my taste and my battery and carto combination. That's not as important as it used to now that I have a variable volt Provari but I only use that at home. The other reason is that I have a better idea of what is in the juice I vape. Still learning but I haven't bought any in months.

I am down to no vendors for juice. However, I still have some leftovers from my madness back in Nov & Dec with all the sales. I have purchased for a convert just today...however, the juice is for them to try out. I will let them try my DIY after they are comfortable with the pv. Otherwise I just order the usual. Nicotine, vg, pg, and flavors.
