I think I'm ready to say I quit! Whoo-hoo. My brother tells me nicotine itself causes cancer but at least I don't get the tar and crap! I am now a full time vaper, I still got kicked outside at the bar though. What;s up with that?!?! I felt like a big geek out there sucking on my eGo

Good for you! It is true that cigarettes cause lung cancer, people often mistakenly extend that fact to nicotine. The fact that nicotine is addictive doesn't make it carcinogenic (cancer causing). To date, no sound scientific research has been able to find that nicotine causes lung cancer or any other cancer.Nicotine gum and patches exist as OTC supplements is solid evidence. If nicotine was carcinogenic, the FDA would simply pull it off the shelves.

As for looking like a geek, don't worry! Most people are just curious when they stare. You'd be surprised how many people have just never heard of them. I've only been vaping a little over 2 weeks now but everywhere I go I have people interested and wanting to try them. I've had 4 people switch to ecigs and soon to be another today in only 2 weeks!

Awesome, good job. One of these days you'll be old like me and stop caring what people think. :) I walk around with a big, stainless-steel 18650 mod with a stainless steel tank. It's about as from looking like a cig as you can get. I pay no attention to the looky loos. I will demonstrate when asked, however.

Anyway, glad you're off the stinkies. Happy vaping.

I opened my last pack and lit my last cigarette as I was being shown how to use my brand new (first) PV. Put it out after two puffs. That last pack of 19 cigarettes now sits on my dresser under a lighter so I can walk by it each morning and night and flip it off. My wife and kids think I'm nuts and they're probably right. I just like to remember where I came from and never return.

That's where I am!

I've found that most people are just curious. The cool part has been that over the past month I've sent at least 10 people to the guy I get most of my vaping gear from and they've all converted, some even 100%. It warms my cartomizer knowing I've helped someone feel and smell better. :2cool:

Congrats on quitting. I carried around my pack with about 6 analogs in it for about 2 weeks before I gave them away to a friend that smokes. It was almost like having a security blanket when I first started vaping. About 10 days without an analog, I lit one up (batteries were almost dead) and took about 4 drags off of it before I threw it out. It tasted like I just licked and ashtray. Since then I've never had the urge to smoke an analog again.

There's no conclusive evidence that nicotine causes cancer. Nicotine, does however promote the growth of new blood vessels, which can feed an already existing cancer, making it progress more quickly. But it's not all bad news, this vessel growth has possible positive applications as well. Like for those with Diabetes that have such poor circulation they're at risk of losing a limb.

That's where I'm at. I pretty much know what I'm looking for in taste so I figure I'm better off mixing my own then gambling on whatever they send me. I'll probably still get certain one of a kind brews but I already started mixing pre made juice like Dr. Pepper butterscotch and a certain Ry4 and vanilla cappuchino nice! I'll have my own site like the 6 jillion others in a week or two.
