Okay, I've never posted in this subforum, nor told of my success story.
And I have been vaping for over eight months now, so I suppose it is a bit overdue.

So here it is....

I have smoked about 5 cigarettes in the last eight months, and that was only for fun.

Let me explain....

Cigarettes used to rule my life.
I wanted them, and often need them.

Now, I have one now and again, but just for fun.
The fun part is that they taste horrible to me now, and I laugh at them and spit in their faces.

I have no banner, because I don't think I will ever stop having a cigarette now and then.
I enjoy the feeling of having a cigarette and hating it.

I have won, the cigarettes have lost, and that is all that matters.
And if I want to smoke one cigarette to celebrate that triumph, then I will do so.

But I spit in their little cigarette faces, and they know they have no power over me anymore.
And that is the real triumph.

That is the real victory.

yeah but your still adicted to nicotine just like me. iwouldnt cunsider vaping quiting more like switching..
Yeah, switching to something which is NOT smoking! There's really not much in comparison, other than the relatively benign levels of nicotine absorbed.

I've had a few people who know I vape, ask me when I was going to quit smoking. The matter of fact answer is, "I quit smoking January 15th". No confusion in my department.

Congratulations DC. You're an ex smoker. I can absolutely relate to your ritualistic occasional analog.

77fro: It's a 2008 smart fortwo cabrio. I had to wait 14 months between placing a deposit and taking delivery. At the age of 56, and after owning a LOT of cars, it is by FAR the most interesting. And, yes, I am afraid to get hit by a semi, in the smart or ANY other vehicle, LOL. So, are we finished hijacking this thread now? Let's be.
