Been a long time working on this one. I couldn't find anything out there that fit my needs, so I made my own. I wanted to go all day vaping, not have to change any batteries, or unscrew the atty to charge, and just plug it in at bedtime. Pretty much wanted a cig that needs very little of my attention. Simple enough right? Right.

Basic specs are 18650 (2400mah trustfire), touch switch, and 400ma internal charger. The bad thing is that it doesn't come apart. I really wanted to make something modular, but I just don't have the resources for that. Still, feels solid as a rock and hits like a beast.

Anyway pics or it didn't happen right?

Looks great, was the case rubberized to start with or is that added? I suppose palmable is you can get away with vaping in a store or wherever you want and people only think you are rubbing your nose with your thumb or something.

Thanks all. The case is textured abs plastic. It came with the hairlines in it. For the light, its a clear plastic rod I found, that goes down to the board where the led actually is. Its just chance that it's hard to see when it's off. I originally planned to use one of those nipples that come with the rubber carto caps, bud didn't have any laying around.

You can find abs in sheets, that's what I used. It's not something that I modded into a cig. Alot of sanding, bending, forming, cutting, more sanding, filing ect.

Nice find. I ordered mine from Amazon, just to experiment with. You can get them in 1'x2' pieces (though much more expensive than if you were buying a 4'x8' sheet). I was looking at USplastics, also, if I wanted to buy more.

For the touch part, I used a diagram by asnider123. Don't remember where I found it. It uses the irl3103 chip w/ 1k & 10m ohm resistors. I got the irl3103 from questcomp and the resistors from radio shack. Works great so props to him. For the charging part, search ebay for 5v usb lithium ion and you should see it in the results. I took the big usb plug off the board and wired up a usb mini plug to it. So you need usb mini female plugs too. Those are cheap on ebay too. Everything else you should be able to find (battery, wires, ect.)

This is asniders touch switch diagram. For the record it has been discovered that bigger than 10M would activate easier. The 10M sometimes requires your hand to be at least slightly moist. 100M was suggested, but I found that 30M seems to be perfect.

As far as this mod goes, very, very impressive! To be honest as nice as it is I was surprised you didn't go with this.

I don't really understand how that one works? Does it work off proximity or pressure? The mesh screen is confusing me. I tried to keep this one kinda simple. Less stuff to go wrong. Also, my space was really cramped with what I put in there. Towards the end, I had to cut the skirt off the bottom of the atty connector to keep from hitting the touch sensors. It is very tight, but very clean inside.

I'm still trying out the touch with the 10m. I did notice before that I need moist hands, but today it's firing every time. I'm gonna keep an eye on it, but so far so good.

In basic terms it works on proximity, but more than likely it's just black magic. The screen goes inside the mod, and when your finger is directly over it, it fires. Somehow though, in your pocket, with less than a mm of pocket fabric separating the mod from your leg, it won't fire. I can understand the point of simplicity, and I applaud you for it.

On the touch switch, if it tends to want moisture, a bigger resistor will clear that up. I use 3x10M in series since I didn't have anything bigger, and it fires perfectly every time, even if I go out of my way to make sure my hands are perfectly dry.
