I joined the forum 2 days ago, I had done some research prior to this but wanted more, this has been the best place for it. I have spent the last day or so reading posts on different models and peoples experiances and then came the crunch, I started reading the success stories, they are very inspirational and have made me realise that I am not alone, there are thousands (possibly even millions) of people in the same boat as me, desperate to quit smoking analogues but after many attempts have failed but the determination is there, I just need to find the way and after reading peoples posts and testiments I truely believe I have found the path to be free.
After looking around at various models and reading reviews I'm going to go with the JacVapour Sport kit, everything I have heard is that it is the 'plug and play' of e-cigs, easy to use from a beginner stand point, reasonably priced, descreet and with the pcc should keep me going while out and about. Will be ordering early next week (need to wait till payday) and have set myself a switch over day of 22nd Oct, I have the whole of the following week off so will be away from the usual stresses that would have me reaching for a stinky stick thus I won't feel under pressure to get it right first time (I'm guessing getting my technique right will take a while).
So my countdown has begun, I am going to go through every coat, bag, drawer and cubbyhole and through out lighters and lost packets and anything else I can think of to give myself the best possible chance of success.
So there it is, in black and white, on a screen for all to see.
Wish me luck guys and gals and any tips on making this work let me know.
Thank you all for posting, you have no idea how all the threads and replies have helped me.

Congrats on deciding to switch, let us know how it goes. I made the switch back in febuary and haven't looked back. I started with a kit kinda like that from blucigs, it was replaced in the first month, lol. I personally got tired of charging the pcc 4 or 5 times a day to keep up with my vaping. I moved up to an eGo "fat bat" from liberty flights for less than I spent on the first kit and it has kept me going ever since. The eGo with a J tank has been the easiest most hassel free way to vape I have found. Constantly refilling cartos or dripping was frustrating to the point of wanting an analog. The eGo and j tank, I just pull out of my pocket and vape, just as easy as pulling an analog out of the pack. Once again, good luck and keep us updated.

Glad to hear it! I started with the smaller 510 with a PCC myself... But I upgraded it within two weeks to an eGo. I liked the 510, but having to constantly charge it and refilling carts got a little old for me... But the eGo with a Type B tank on it is amazing! I don't have to worry about constantly refilling or making a mess, and one battery will last me all day long easily. Same connectors as the 510 so it was an easy upgrade, too!

All the best with it, Trilly. You'll have lotsa peeps rooting for ya. I'm now two weeks cig free and honestly? Sure it's had some challenging moments, but it hasn't been that hard, and certainly notnearly as hard as feared.

If you'd have asked me a few months ago if I could give up, I would have said "I don't think I can". If you'd have asked me even three weeks ago (when I was part vaping, part smoking and had already reduced by more than half), I would have answered "I don't know... I want to, but I'm not sure". Then one day I realised I'd smoked nearly as many as I did before I started vaping a few months ago.... and that was it. I didn't want to go back there. I kept one of the three cigs I had left in the packet for the next morning, and that cigarette was my last.

It was funny, especially the first few days, I'd get a craving for a cig - or think I would. As often as not when I realised it was a habitual kind of craving, not nicotine that I wanted. It was at times or doing things that I did when I usually had a cigarette. In either case, I'd just say to myself "oops, nope... I don't really want a cigarette, I just think I do.. I want to be a non-smoker, now". As funny as it might seem, I think it's been one of the things that's helped me most - I don't get angry or frustrated what cravings I have (and there've been far fewer than I expected), and it's helping me separate habit from a nicotine craving. If it was nicotine I needed, well that was easy... I'd just vape away.

My biggest tip? Be kind to yourself. I really hope you don't, and you sure seem to be getting yourself well set up to succeed, but don't be hard on yourself, even if you do slip up. Just pick up and keep going.

oh, and I also started with a 510. Still have it and love it, even though I've got a spiffy variable power mod now.
