I am a newbie here but that gives me a bit of a recent memory edge for advice re moving to vaping.
Seems like you have already got sound advice in this post already - I don't think you have gone to high at 18/24 mg if you were on 35 rollies. I started at 18/20 and, so far, haven't reduced but that is the future plan. Work your way down later; get out of the ciggie habit then worry about the nicotine level when you are over that is my advice.
And nicotine, at least vaping (and smoking) level wise, is not in itself that dangerous it is more the addictiveness. Whenever I get it on my hands (eg refilling) I just wash it off with water but you don't have to run straight to the sink. You would have to come into contact with a massive conentration for it to be fatal.
I would really reccomend watching this video re nicotine - explained a lot to me about it:

Hey, cheers for all the replies guys, sorry I have been slow to reply, just reading up non stop and haven't really had anything worthwhile to contribute in here, but I do appreciate all the advice. I do have a couple more questions now tho..

The first one is about safety of the charger. I am in Australia as I mentioned and the charger from heavensgift for the Joyetech 510 is going to be either a US or EU charger, I do have a wall adapter that converts US to AU , but I don't think that's a smart way to go?? I also have connections from tablets and android devices lying around but don't think that is the safest Idea either? What I diddo was grab a USB charging kit for the PC which I plan to use 100% of the time to charge with, is that the safest way to go? Can I just leave that charging indefinitely or will that risk over charging the battery and blowing up? Did I even need the USB charger as it looks like the actual charger can just be used in a USB port anyway? Sorry, just a bit confused.

The second question is, is something like the evod ce5 a far better delivery system? I see the parts are called different things compared to the Joye 510. If I was to grab the evod ce5 I assume the replacement parts I need to buy would be a couple of extra battery's , a few ce5 tank atomizers and a few coils and that's it? Or I see they also have carts available, what's the difference between the tank and the cart for the ce5?? Cheers guys.

Sorry for the dumb questions, I am trying lol.

can you post a link for what you are talking about?

i hadn't heard of an evod ce5.

you should look for a glass tank;
cartomizers are like the size of a cigarette filter; they have the coil and you throw them away when you're done.
Sometimes the word cartomizer is also used to describe a disposable clearomizer tank

Sorry wasn't sure if links were allowed.

edit; I can't post links. It's at e cig . com in the starter kit. It's just like a lot of the newer e cig starter kits.

It's just called ce5 on this website, I have seen it called evod ce5, I have about 50 different tabs open on my pc currently lol and that was the first one to have the ce5 on it.

... I am tempted to order the 11mg now for fear of coughing my lung up, head spins and vomiting with the 18mg....
You can dilute the ejuice wih PG (Propylene Glycol) and/ or VG (Vegetable Glycerin) - if you add no other flavouring then you will weaken the flavour strength, but it will cut down the nicotine strength. I've only been vaping for a short while but am already making my own juice (it's very easy - loads of advice on this forum) but I started by using some Juicy Peach (which I like) from one vendor and bought 5ml 36mg strength and 10ml zero strength. That allowed me to mix, for example, equal amounts to make an 18mg strength (same flavour, so no reduction in flavour concentration), or 2 parts zero to one part 36mg, making 12mg strength. Hope that helps and hasn't confused matters. Happy vaping!

hi mick

As a fellow aussie i can tell you after buying juice from US and China that we have some of the best tasting juices right here in AUS.
I initially assumed the stuff from overseas would be better myself but i havent found that to be the case.
Only thing we cant buy is nic but it is easily sourced in US and a small bottle lasts a loooong time.
The 2 awesome vendors i use are vapeking and juice factory between those 2 and hardware from china your set. hope you find what you need to quit the evil smokes.

Cheers man. I have actually found a store here that I can walk into and buy some stuff, not the nic obviously, but they have a few good choices of e cig's and actually talking to someone face to face will be handy, pretty bad timing to be jumping into the game from all the stuff I'm reading in regards to the laws and shops getting raided over here tho, I will be looking over my shoulder the whole time I'm in there lol. It's only a 5 minute drive from me, so hopefully it hangs around (Atleast until Tuesday lol.)

Nic on your fingers is just something you wash off casually. I work next to a sink when I'm filling my tank atomizer so it's easy to flip the faucet on and wash it away. What you are talking about is relatively weak nicotine strength in terms of concentration. 1000mg is nothing to play around with. A drop on your skin is dangerous poison and the people who work with it wear HAZMAT suits and respirators. 18mg and 24mg you just wash off and forget about it.

Still, you have to respect that there's nicotine in a sort of concentration in our normal vaping mix and it wouldn't be good for humans to drink it. That's why we keep it away from kids. What actually would happen is that a touch to the lips would result in a scream and a holler as the burn started! It's in a spout tipped squeeze bottle so they wouldn't be able to drink it unless they squeezed. Still, it's wise to prevent kids from accessing it and the bottles really should be equipped with child-proof caps.

Not sure if I should start a new thread or just keep going with this one but I have changed my plans a bit..

I am not overly impressed with the Joye 510 I selected originally (Hasn't arrived so I may be pleasantly surprised) but I feel like there are far better options out there.

So this is what I plan on grabbing in a couple of days from the local store would appreciate it if you guys could chip in and tell me if it sounds a lot better or if there's any errors with what I have selected..

Vision ego spinner battery for $36

2x kanger evod 2 clearomizers. $10 each.

Kanger dual coil replacement coils 5 pack $13

usb and wall charger $9

Total $78

Since I have already purchased the whole Joye 510 starter kit I will wait til next pay to double up on battery's and clearomizers for this lot, but does that sound a lot better?

Cheers guys.

With stuff like the vv v3 with a screen that can show you your ohms and battery voltage, I don't see $36 for a spinner as being worthwhile at all.

Ouch. I got a new Vision Spinner (v.2) yesterday and it's quite brilliant. BUT If I was only getting ONE battery and didn't already have an iTasteVV I'd get the iTaste... therefore, I agree.

Are these prices $AUS? because if they are.... those a not bad at all :) Better than many of the total rip-off Vendors taking advantage of Aussie Vapers.
