Yeah 9 wraps you're at about .5-.6ohms you are fine. With good batteries post some pics of them next.

Edit: At the B&M did they put it on a box device with a number read out????

Something like this...

Yes, they charged the batteries and they did a "read out" of something. I wish I had paid more attention now.

They were measuring the ohms of your build, that's what a meter looks like when you check your build. If you know them well I would hope that they saw the numbers were stable before they sent you out of the shop with them.

This is just my personal opinion, but I probably wouldn't shy away from hitting it a few times this evening. I would however probably hold off on chain vaping it until you have a meter. Still awesome job and just think you were just talking about all this yesterday and look how far you've already came. :D

Dani, don't worry too much. You are off to a great start and your coils look great. The fine folks in this forum are just asking questions to make sure you are safe and have your basis covered. One of the reasons they keep asking for pics of your batteries is to make sure they are up to the task. Also a stated before an ohm meter is crucial to make sure your builds are in range of what you are targeting. There are a few things to know to be safe, but once you get the basics down and know what to look for it is easy sailing. You are off to a great start, and if you have any questions, ask away, someone in this awesome group will answer. Once again congrats on your first build

Looks like some LG He2's to me... which are a good battery.

I bet if you take that there sticker off, it will have the battery model underneath.

I'd probably check this, to make sure they are legit... they it though.

Congrats on getting a dripper... Id definitely get the ohm meter asap...

Those are 20A continuous batteries.

Pretty safe, as long as your ohms are above 0.3 - 0.4 ish, to be safe...

:)

Nice looking coils btw. Maybe move them closer to the edge or the deck, and centered on the airhole next time, to improve flavor /vapor.

I bet the virus taste's extra delish, huh?

Norrin! It's so great to see you!

You would be proud (I think). They hooked me up with 2 new batteries (18650 2500mAh 3.7V, they're a reddish-pink color) and explained what it when to stop when my bullet starts to pull and weaken. However, I did not get a ohms reader.

Now I'm starting to get uneasy that I did something wrong.

Did I do everything right? I will get an ohms reader asap online.

Um, before you go into thermal runaway or sumptin' read these please: Start with the 2nd link first.

wow, these are a lot of helpful links, thank you for taking your time to compact them all for me! I appreciate it so much.

I have a paper to write today, so I'm going to put my coils away for now and wait until I become more educated with this baby.

Thanks so much,
Dani

Solace,

What does a "short" mean?

Thank you,
Dani
Dani,

someone may come along with a better explanation, but a "short" is when something is awry with the coil build, causing a non-working state, potential battery harm, potential user harm, and in the case of Reos, a collapsed spring (safety feature).

any part of the wire touching metal other than the posts of the atty will cause a short.

I'm just waking up, so I'm sorry if I don't make no sense. lol

I also wanted to add that they allowed me to use their own cotton that they do not sell. They told me to get 100% organic cotton rolls. I drove all over Columbus looking for it and was unsuccessful. I came home and ordered this:

Raw Organic Angel Hair Cotton Wick - (.5m) - Vaping Cotton Online

Is that a good cotton to use? I hope so because I ordered two bags!

I also bought a Sillare clone for my atomizer. Will that be about to be reused with a Reo?

Thanks for any feedback you can give me.

If they Stillaire comes with a bottom feed pin it could be used, if not then it can still be used but you will have to drip in it and not be able to squonk. And being able to squonk is the main selling point of the Reo's.

Penguiness,

Here is what is underneath the label:

View attachment 390362

I hope that helps!

And those are LG batteries which are good for the range you are running them. They have a continuous discharge rate of 20 amps, the same rating as the ones I use and I go as low as .4 ohms. I could probably go lower with them but like to leave a lot of headroom for safety.

Got it. I definitely want to squonk. It does not have a bottom feed option, so I'll come back and ask for opinions on the atomizer when the time comes.

Thank you,
Dani
