I received two starter kits in the mail today. Both FS 510. Thanks Mypvshop for processing my order so quickly.

The first set was mat black with a manual battery. I really was impressed. I like it better than my Joye brand 510. It is classy looking and vapes just as well if not better. I also like the flavor of the cartridges that came with it. I am hoping that the atomizer and battery life are at least equal to the Joye 510.

The second set was the gloss white with the automatic battery. Don't care much for the appearance. It lacks the classier look of the mat black and seems a bit larger in my hand. I also have to draw harder on it to get it to vape. However, it does vape well.

Both of the sets were on special at mypvshop.com and after the coupon discount were under $20.00 each. If I could afford to buy them all up, I would. Excellent deal and I am a happy customer.

if you ever buy any 510 batteries that are not "FS 510" then you will also have to buy new charging cables for them and label your charging cables. The FS510 is the opposite electrical polarity from normal 510's. The atomizers and cartomizers don't care, but 510 and FS510 can fry each others batteries with their chargers.

I've purchased both of those kits for friends to start vaping, and I agree that they are high quality - 3 mos. have gone by and everyone is still using the original attys that came with the kits, that speaks volumes.

There are specific WARNING instructions included in each kit about not using other chargers with these batteries, so I don't think it's fair to steer people away from them. We don't tell people not to buy Rivas, etc. because you can't use that charger on a Joye 510, even though they look similar.

A Riva 510 charger does not melt and fry slim 510 a battery - it is not a dangerous situation - it typically just damages the slim battery's ability to hold charge can damage its protection circuits.

People have been burnt by a battery in the wrong polarity charger. And leaking Lithium fluid is not safe either. Regardless of what it says at the vendor, people continue to not understand, buy extra 510 batteries or cables elsewhere because they like the color or want a mega xl battery etc and then fry their batteries. Just this week somebody was trying to figure out why/how they killed EIGHT batteries and FS510 was the cause.

I would prefer is FS510 was not called 510 at all (because some people on this forum tell people all 510's are compatible).

The FS510 is fine by itself and I applaud your choice of manual batteries for the one kit. But just know that for batteries and chargers and PCCs you will have to stick with FS510 (which I would not be surprised might be their stupid intention). You can use any standard resistance 510 atomizers or cartomizers from anywhere because they don't care about polarity.

I love the justification on their site for this FS garbage with the reversed polarity and charger issues...sometimes it's not worth saving a buck....and I seriously doubt they are going to the trouble of marking the batteries or chargers in any way, so they're just accidents waiting to happen as users get other (real 510/ego) equipment later on.

And now that we have suitably explained that...

Cartomizers
When you find some thinner juices you like, I highly recommend Boge 510 cartomizers. Slim 510 uses the standard resistance ones (around 3 ohms). They are the most popular cartomizers on 510. A cartomizer is a disposable all-in-one cart and atty so it will keep your favorite flavors totally separate with their own atomizer. They hold 2x as much as a cart (though you do need to keep them damp to avoid singeing, you will typically be adding more juice less often). They provide a more troublefree consistent vaping experience for your faves. I get the longest good performance by using juices with 20% or less VG in them and I avoid juices that drop a lot of flavoring sediment into the stuffing. On the auto batteries you will have to be very careful to make sure a carto will not leak before you put it on the battery - the place where a carto may leak is right over where an auto battery can be damaged.

Drip tip
For your manual batteries - you can use a drip tip on the atomizer for testing juices, instead of a cartridge.
