Been vaping for almost a year, been totally analog free for 8 months.
Registered when I read that Ahlusion wasn't going to sell their aromatic blends anymore, but got caught by the 5 post mafia, so am spending my intro time in New Member limbo.

Started a new job where I didn't want to be identified as a smoker, so started on blus. Could get by at work, but would crave an analog once I got home. Some folks on my fantasy football website were talking about mods, rebuildable, ohms, watts and a whole host of other things I didn't understand, but I gleaned enough info to buy my first kit, a Nexxus from GotVape. From there it was onto V4L, where I learned that all e-cigs didn't come with the same threading. I still have the little 808 battery (Diamond King maybe??) somewhere, but I was a 510 guy all the way. I built up to 6 X eGo style batteries and then bought my first twist. I also went from clearomizers, to Evods and now am mainly using Innokin iclears. Now that V4L is running 510 threads, I've been using an automatic dial a volt and a variable Vapor Zeus.

My liquid preferences right now run about 50/50 between Ahlusion and Nicoticket, though if the Strawnilla is as good as a bunch of folks are saying it is and the aromatic blends are going away, I may become a little less balanced.

I like to think I'm moderately knowledgeable, but I've never rebuilt anything, still am not an electrician and likely never will.

If anyone has hardware suggestions, I'd love to hear them. I've gone from 24mg down to 6mg and figure I can use all the hardware power available if I'm going to make the toughest reduction of them all.

Welcome, I'm new on here too but not new to vaping, been vaping for about 3 or 4 yrs now but just got my first real vv a few months ago. I have the Itaste SVD with the Iclear 30 tank and really like it. Was doing the ecig thing before but wanted more power and a better cloud. Now I have lots of little screw on batteries lol

I like that the SVD can use different battery sizes and is the standard 510 tank. I was like you and started off with 24 or 26mg and I'm down to 12 or 6mg now but usually mix them for about a 9mg or just a 0 on some depending on what flavors I'm using.

to ecf Oddibemcd and congrats on the 8 months. So glad you are here. Takes no time at all the get the posts going. :) Looking back I sort of wished I had saved my money and started out on the mvp2. It is very easy to use and has a great battery life. It is now what I consider a great backup because since I started using a reo, vaping is exactly where I want to stay. I am definitely no electrician and if you knew me a little better you would know if I can rebuild a coil, you will have no problems. I was afraid at first but after watching so many YouTube's I got up the courage and supplies and let me tell you there really isn't anything to it. Of course I don't do all the fancy stuff I see on here. I'm a single simple coil kind of gal. Good luck to you and happy vaping. Continued success to you. :)

Hi Oddibemcd,

Welcome to ECF, I'm glad you joined us! Congrats on 8 months smoke free!

I'm going to assume you saw the Nicoticket sub-forum if you saw all the Strawnilla reviews....get your 5th post in and come say Hi!

I too was terrified to do my first coil build, I am definitely not mechanically inclined at all. But a little research here and youtube and I decided to give it ago. And gosh, it really wasn't so hard or scary at all. (although everything is much tinier than it appears on screen) And the rewards in flavor have been tremendous. No fancy stuff for me either, just single coils.

Enjoy your vaping journey!
:)

Thanks for all the welcomes. Limbo wasn't bad at all.
Technowiz--yeah, sticking with one connector size was key for me. It's very rare that I can't find something to vape at home, work or in the car now.
I'm sure I'll browse around the DIY forum and see if there are any easy looking videos. There is a ton of info here.
