My new mod

Hey, just wanted to get some feedback on my new mod... It's a battery mod I designed after getting frustrated trying to get hold of some unobtainium. A few people have already asked how much it is but it's NOT for sale lol, it's just my wee baby.

It's made of stainless steel with brass contacts, a bottom button, a brass locking ring and it's only 54mm tall with a standard 22mm diameter. I put an equal sized chamfer at the top and bottom... the bottom to make the button super comfortable to use, and the top to match my 19mm IBTanked cartotank.

I've yet to polish it up properly (though I've started on that), and I want to add some decoration to it... though my girlfriend thinks it's perfect the way it is.

Your thoughts?


NB: pictured with my other mods, Provari, Provari Mini and Atmizoo Dingo 18350. I called mine SaberMod because I'm a bit of a Star Wars geek, though it's already been pointed out to me that people will think it's by the SaberTouch guys if I call it that. Still, there's only one of these in the world, so I'm not bothered if anyone has a problem with the name

Nicely done, good and small. If the name gets to be too much pressure, you could call it the R2D2 Interface Tool.

that turned out very nicely! did you have access to a machine shop to fabricate this?

thanks kdragn, I didn't, but I know a very very nice man who's a veteran in the trade, retired now, with his own fully equipped workshop at home. I'm working on a better version as we speak.

Very nice, I like making my own stuff. Although I have traded or sold all I have, I still am drawing up new ideas.. I am also fortunate enough to have access to a lathe. always fun to cut some steel..

Great job - I really like the simplicity in the design. I am sure it would fetch a good price if you made more of them.

I want to make one just like this, except in brass, but I don't have access to any fancy tools nor do I have any experience with such things. Need to find someone to teach me....
