Give more details. I was thinking earlier today about doing something similar. I had a 2-AA Mag Light in mind since I have a few to spare laying around.

i have two AAA flashlights i bought from harbor freight, is there any way you could help me out? ive built a nicostick and a puck, but for somereason confused when it comes to flashlight mods lol

I will send pictures of the parts tomorrow but I used a quarter for the mount for the 510 extender just drilled a hole in it and press fitted it o I also used a hammer and screw driver to pop out the light and lens.
Drill a hole in the quarter a hair bigger then the 510 extender and glue the clear lens to the quarter.
They drill a hole in the lens a lil smaller then the 510 extender and since its plastic you can thread the extender in to the lens and then press fit it in the flashlight body.

I have a metric tap & die set so I could easily thread for the 510 if needed.

That's a shame, I was thinking the wife might enjoy a purplish pinkish pillar.

Really though it is a clean and straight build, may it serve you well.

@73ckn, 510 threads are a rare size, hard to find in a set. These here are fairly reasonable:

Amazon.com: 7mm x .5 High Speed Steel Plug Tap: Victor Machinery Exchange

Amazon.com: 7 mm x .5 High Speed Steel Bottoming Tap: Victor Machinery Exchange

I never found a tap here locally so that's why I started using the lens and forcing the 510 adapter to tap it then sandwich the quarter between the 510 and lens it also makes it a little thicker and sits very well.

This is the purple light, I have not started it yet.

I guess that, depending on the diameter of the housing, that a washer with a small hole would work just as well in place of the quarter you used.

What did you use for a switch?
