*** I just used copy and paste from my review on another site. I have also added my follow ups at the end to be current with my experience with it.***

Yep, my Blu arrived today. :D (actually yesterday!)

First impressions...

All contents were wrapped in bubble wrap and then shipped in a USPS shipping envelope. It seems to be satisfactory in protecting a starter kit well enough. My one complaint with the shipping packaging was that my extra battery and atomizer were not individually boxed or wrapped. They were just tossed in the bubble wrap with the start kit and the box of prefilled cartridges. Not a huge deal but the battery and/or atomizer should have been wrapped/boxed to protect them better IMO. (pics below!)

The actual box and materials are top notch. The box is a heavy carboard type box with magnets to keep it closed. All printed materials look professional and appear to have been written by someone who actually speaks English as a first language.

OK, on to the meat!

The Blu looks to be very well made. The black finish with Blu logo looks really nice. No imperfections that I can see. The atomizers and batteries screw together very smoothly. Both of my atomizers, all three batteries, and the PPC all appear to be working fine. It feels really natural to hold which I'm sure is due to it's size.

OK, I charged everything up and started with the "Vanilla" carts. Taste wise not bad IMO. Not great but not bad. I put a cherry cart on the other atomizer and checked it out. I know they call it "Cherry Crush" but IMO it has more of a black cherry taste. Eh, it is OK but I don't really care for it. Vapor production seems good to me but I'm a noob so take it for what it is worth.

Well, as I sit here I finally had to switch batteries. I got about 3 hours out of it. I also had to change carts three puffs after changing the battery. Now I'm trying their "Classic Tobacco". I can't really taste it yet as I can still taste vanilla flavor in there but I will keep puffing away.

Overall, I like it. I'm just a total noob at this so I don't have a lot of experience with other models to compare it to. I know I definately like it better than the NJOY Pro that I tried recently but that is it. We shall see how it stacks up to a Janty Dura-C once it gets here. Ofcourse, durability remains to be seen and only time will tell. I will report failures when they occur. More to follow as I start to really put this baby to the test.

OK, some more observations on the Blu.

I don't know how anyone can say the battery life on these suck. I have gone through two batteries now since it arrived and I got over three hours out of each one. I used no special charging methods. I just charged until it said they were good and started using them. That is it. Also, charging a battery using the PPC took 47 minutes.

I also decided to clean up and refill one of the used up carts. When I pulled it apart there was barely any moisture at all in it. Where is the cartridge being left "half full" like I have read so many times? To me it looks like it used it up pretty damn good. I know I sure as hell puffed on that cart for a long time!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Another update. I got 4 hours and 10 minutes out of my third battery!

Again, why all the talk about bad battery life? Do I just not hit this thing enough? I carry the damn thing around with me from room to room and hit it like smoking an analog. What gives?

Those are my observations on the Blu -- good battery life, good cart use (and they refill easily), excellent size, weight and construction. The atomizer is sturdy and functional, good vapor. I'm not keen on the flavors I bought (mint, vanilla, java) but topped off (I like mint+vanilla; Vanilla+rose and java+vanilla) they improve. It's a great piece of equipment and I'm glad I've got more batteries and atomizers coming. I'm reccommending it to anyone looking for an easy introduction to vaping and who doesn't mind waiting. (For locals looking for something right now, I'm sending them to rockymountainvapor.com and Wyzzard because they're local.)

I "chain smoke" when I'm sitting at my computer - which is why I said I wasn't a good person to review battery life. I kill 510 batteries in less than 2 hours. ;)

Wow, so the starter kits include 2 atomizers and 3 batteries now? I only got 1 atty and 2 batteries with my order. I have already had a battery and atomizer die, and I've had the unit for less than two weeks, so maybe they've had a lot of part failures. You're lucky to have some backup parts.

As for battery life, I guess it depends on how much you use the Blu and what kind of draws you take. I get around 1.5-2 hours of frequent use out of mine, or several hours if I use it less.

I see you ordered an extra atty and batt - so did I. but you only got 1 atty?

on their products page it shows it for 9.95 and states replacement atomizers come in pairs

I ordered on 5-31, and still pending I want it but if it doesnt ship this week I will cancel.......I mean even though you have it now what happens if you need to order parts or carts? Is it gonna take another 2-3 weeks?

That must be the difference for me.

BTW, if you get around 2 hours from a 510 then I should be set when my Dura-C gets here! I might get +5 hours out of it! :D

Nope. I got one atomizer and two batteries with the kit. I ordered a second atomizer and battery when I placed my order for the kit.

Man, I wish they were doing that when I ordered. Oh well. s**t happens I guess.

Yeah, that worries me about getting replacement parts as well. Supposedly  they have their backorder taken care of and things are going to be shipping quicker. I will have to see it to believe it at this point.

I talked to a guy in shipping and says my order should ship 'soon' within 3 days we'll see.......

but I also asked about the backlog and what if I need spare parts.....he says he guesses they wont be on top of it until mid/late July which should be okay - I hope no parts are needed for 1 month LOL

How long did it take for you to get it? I'm not sure what atomizer that is but it looks like m401 carts should fit. I practically breathe through my eCigs like it's my oxygen tank so a charger and spare batts will be useful.
I ordered mine on May 27th and it arrived finally on June 15th.

I heard someone else say that the 401 carts would work on the Blu but I haven't tried it myself and it will probably be a few before I do.

Only 3-4 hours of battery life and you think that is good???? I get 7-8 hours of battery life and good consistent throat hit out of my PV day in and day out. And you have to pay $10 for batteries. My batteries cost $3. Each to his own, I guess.

Well, with the PCC that blu comes with - for him that means 18-24 hours away from an outlet plus the "feel" of an analog. I know that once you've been doing this for a while - or perhaps even if you're rather daring at the outset - a "mod" for a battery is exceptional. But for many people starting out, myself included... we need the reassurance that similarity brings and because of that, there will always be a market for the " look-alike"

I was moments away from ordering a JS... but I kept telling myself...nope- wait... wait until you read about the first problem... and now I'm glad I did... there seem to be a lot. I'm going to try building my own mod until V2 comes out. In the meanwhile, I am quite content with my 510. I think it performs better than the blu - and I'm okay with it being fatter and longer than an analog - not to mention manual.

Thanks Willow.

Yes, I do think that is good. It is a super-mini so comparing it to an SD, JS, or any other custom device is like comparing apples to oranges IMO. With the PPC I am good to go the entire day and that is all I need. Ofcourse, YMMV.

The performance of the 510, other than battery life, seems to be very good considering how many users recommend it. Building your own mod is an excellent idea. Good luck.:)

You are a supplier!! LOL,,, I can not believe how many posts you have on here. Good luck in getting your 20% commission because without any products, none of those sales will go through and you will get nothing!!! For a supplier who offers the well known M402 for just $49, check out Nicassist They ship within 48 hours, not 30 days!!!

Not a supplier, tho with your offers to people to provide them with chemically produced nicotine by the liter, and commentary about your commercial shipments being held up in customs, one has to wonder which side of the supplier fence you're sitting on.

Not an affiliate. Please show me where I have posted a single link to any product? Oh but look - there's your link. Are you certain you're not a supplier? Or perhaps paid to post?

I made a thread JUST for you guys... outside...

I won't respond to anymore assumptions, threats, insults or defamation in this subforum.

Just an update with info that some might find useful.

I had ordered a Dura-C and it arrived Saturday. I tried one of the Dura-C's manual batteries on the Blu atomizer and it threaded onto and worked perfectly. It gave the Blu better vapor production and more throat hit. Also, considering that it did work so well, it is my belief that any Dura-C/510 pass-through would work with the Blu.

As for the Dura-C itself, I'll post up my thoughts on it after I have had a day or two to really check it out.
