I am offering my sincerest apologies to Provari. Until now, I've been a diehard basher of that menu button. You see, I have a terrible memory, chronic CRS at it's best. I couldn't bear the thought of trying to memorize not only menu abbreviations, but the amount of clicks it takes to get to each abbreviations too. I was even mad at Provape for not coming up with a simpler way for chronic crs peeps like me to use their Provari too. I felt abandoned.
So, I bought LT v1 first. Pretty darn easy. Nice. But certainly wasn't near as safe as the Provari, nor not as many menu options. I stuck my tongue out at Provape. Neener neener on you guys!
Next, I purchased the Vamo. Oh yehhh, VW and VV, both and at a great price. Sweet. Something Provari is too snooty to even contemplate.
Well, every time I got it out to use, I couldn't remember which button to hold down or which time I had to press quickly, or any of that kerr app, soooooo, I had to get the Vamo manual out each time I decided something needed changing. Such fun. NOT. Oh yeh, you memory hogs, laugh. You got all the memory in the world. You don't know what it's like to have such a short term users memory. It's awful. I hate my Vamo. Hate it. Did I mention I DESPISE my Vamo?
Sooooo, along comes a used Provari in the classys, posted by someone I trust. I went ahead and grabbed it, even though I knew, I just knew it would be too difficult for me.
OMG!!! This is the simplest menu of them yet. It even beats my LT v1. I LOVE IT!!!!!!
Yesterday I wouldn't have paid full price for a new one ever... not EVER and I mean that with all my heart. But today, now that I've experienced it first hand, I want to buy a new one for a backup. One in every color. One in every size. I am smitten I tells ya.
I know, right. You zealots have been saying this for years, but... while I appreciated the craftsmanship and the American made ideal, and the technology, and was tempted many times because of those good reasons,, I just could not bear the thought of such a pia menu with all that button pushing.
IT"S THE EASIEST MENU EVER!! It doesn't take forever to go through it. If you pass it up, it just round robins right back. You don't have to fly through the menu like a speedboat either, because it gives time to let you read it before pushing on to the next one, if you want the time. If you don't want the time, just click on by as fast as you want. It's all up to me.
I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry for my past bashing. It was uncalled for. It was based on my ignorance, on misunderstanding, on conclusions from what I'd overheard from others which only confirmed and cemented my own biased opinion.
I'm usually the last one to judge without first hand experience. That's how badly the Provari menu scared me!
I am humbled today, with Provari in hand. Life is sweet.
All this time, all these years, I could have had a Provari.
