One of the biggest reasons for me quitting analogs besides health was my hatred for evil capitalist scumbags that take advantage of peoples addiction to tobacco. Cigarettes are a funny commodity that really shows the true face of greed on a huge corporate level. I mean it takes real scumbags to spend millions engineering chemicals to put in tobacco to increase the addictive properties of the things and that's a big part of the health problems of regular cigs. And on top of that the feds have no problem stacking tons of tax on en to boot. Then big anti smoking campaigns are a built in helper that the feds love because it helps justify the absorbadant taxes. It's all a big scam that I am so glad to be out of forever.

Not only that - for some reason the lowest nicotine cigs are the most expensive. I had gotten all the way down to ultralights but the price kept getting jacked up (as well as my state adding even more tax to cigs) until they were $64/carton and I could no longer afford them. So for the last year of smoking I had to smoke cheaper harsher cigs with 2x the nicotine and 2/3 the price.

Yea their totally out of control. Come on! $65 for a carton of cigs. Pretty soon people will have to grow their own tabaco just to afford the habit.

Oh it's insane, the price! I was paying $65.00 a carton for American Spirits, and I drove over the Delaware River to Pennsylvania to buy them cause they're cheaper in PA! You don't even want to know how much cigs are here in New Jersey...highway robbery, if you ask me!

I had not bought a carton in AGES! Here in NY I was paying $10.65 a pack when I last bought them before December of 2010. So, I hate to even guess how much a carton is here! I used to smoke Salem Lights.

Funny thing is, now I hardly use menthol at all! I have one bottle of mint that I add a few drops to some strawberry to mix. That is plenty! But my favs are more coffee or cappuccino flavor.

$43 at the Indian Reservation smoke shop here in Northern Nevada for any 'name brand' $29 for American Spirit, and I thought that was alot of money..wow $65!!!

Everything on the East Coast is more expensive, but even at $29 a carton for American Spirits, I still wouldn't go back!!! It's not even about money...never was, and never will be...at least for me!

I agree --and the reason all the bans are poping up is because we don't put money in the big tobacco companies pockets anymore--and They don't like it !!!!!
Also trying to get them band here in indiana .

Ye price wasnt really an issue for me either in reno, indian smoke shops are every where in nevada.
Alot of you people cant even hate, people in Europe, and Chicago, pay upwards of 10$ a pack.
In reality i have probably spent more money then i would have smoking, purchasing stuff i didnt like, or didnt use.
But thats part of the game. I started making my own E-liquid which is saving me tons of money.
