Just wanted to give major props to two manufacturers and my experiences with both in hopes of helping others.
When I first got into more serious flashlights in 2009, I did a ton of research and AW batteries and Pila chargers were always highly recommended. So I picked up a Pila IBC charger and a pair of AW 18650 protected cells (black 2600 mah flat tops). I used them regularly but not daily. Then I got into vaping about 2 years ago and started using the batts and charger EVERY single day. Yes I know it's not recommended to use Lithium Ion's in Mods but I take the risk and having been doing so for years without incident.
Anyhow, I still use these original AW cells and Pila charger every single day to power my Vamos and an previously an Innokin SVD that bit the dust some time ago. The batteries are still going strong after 5-6 years and likely have around 1000 cycles out of each of them! They still charge to 4.1-4.2 volts as they did when new and keep me vaping much longer than the AW IMR (2200 I believe) does just showing that they still have some life in them.
I will seldom drain them past 3.5v which is my self imposed drain limit. I have to think this helps long term battery life.
So anyhow, major kudos to both Pila and AW for making very high quality product that lasts day after day. Both are higher end cost for their respective segments but worth every single cent. It pains me to see most will cheap out on batteries and chargers, two of the biggest safety aspects of vaping. Spend the extra folks and get quality products that will last and keep you safe.
I have no affiliation with either, just passing my experiences to others.
