Now, seriously, I just used a 1" flat drill bit. However, from past experience, I previously drilled pilot holes with a 2mm bit. Finished with a
1" ball grinding stone and then sanding with 200 grit paper (by hand, what I had around).
The thing is half finished. I'm gonna glue six more 35mm film canister caps, like the one in the center (the Kodak variety) below the holes and decorate in cherry wood or carbon fiber self sticking vinyl.

The one in the car is just a 6cm cap from a hair spray can my wife emptied with likewise hole drilled. Pending sanding.
AAMOF, I'm thinking of doing a beer can but haven't found a liquid resin to fill it. Any ideas?
