Hi guys - so I did it. I quit smoking - for the most part at least.

Like most of you I didnt go straight down the heavenly road and bought something serious from the beginning. My journey started with blus - yes blus. I bough a starter kit and thought: "It's actually good - that could be it".
Long story short - blus werent satisfying enough went to v2 and when that went boring i got me an iStick 30w with an aspire nautilus mini of which setup I am pleased with for a longer time (btw we are talking about weeks to a couple of months here, not years - I am still a newbie).

Whereas my friends are into redbull, candy apple and whatnot, I really do not like fruity liquids. I am, like supposedly most in the beginning, more of the tobacco vaper. I have not found a single flavor aside from tobacco that I could imagine vaporing on a regular basis. Maybe friday, when my first 'gourmet juice' - Suicide Bunny - arrives.

Enough introduction - let's get to the topic why I created this topic. All websites promise that their tobacco flavor tastes exactly as cigarette brand XY. It is not like that. I have found that, at least for me, nothing can resemble a real cigarette. But nevertheless I want to give a brief review of my cheapo tobacco flavors I had so far - always written from the viewpoint of someone who is still looking for something that tastes like my good old Gauloises Caporal rolling tobacco. All liquids are 11-12% nic.

Liqua from ritchy:
Virginia: STRONG flavor - really caramel like but not too sweet. Actually a good vape. But for me almost more like a dessert than a cigarette substitute. Can not vape it everyday.

Bright Tobacco: Really fresh but still earthy flavor. Sweet undertone. Reminds me of smoking a grassland in spring. Really nice "from then to then" but not a everyday vape for me.

Berry Mix: Take some berries, squash them in your fist, rub them vigurously on your gustatory nerves and inhale. Thats like it. The Flavor is soooooo strong. My friends are really into it - but nothing for me.

Traditional Tobacco: Only one tank vaped so far. It is good. Not too special - light sweet undertone but good - maybe gonna have a stronger opinion on that later.

Wicked /Healthier Choice (guess it is the same stuff - not to be mistaken by totally wicked):
They are all really flowery in the inhale - like roses or something. What I learned was that they need steeping - otherwise they taste like nothing. With steeping they are pretty similar, too, but not too bad. The platinum is the most dry. I think they are so similar, that I can not write individual reviews.
However, this brand, as flowery as it is in the inhale, resembles an accurtate cigarette feel and flavor in the exhale imho.

There is one exception - the rolling tobacco. It tastes genuine fresh like opening a new tobacco pouch. But not as fresh as the liqua bright. That one is imho better than the others and has the typical strong wicked exhale.

Watermelon: like biting in a watermelon.

Totally wicked:

American Red:
This one is special. It tastes like no other tobacco. It really tastes like fresh nuts with a sweet undertone in the inhale. Really pleasant for me. In the exhale its pretty harsh and with enough imagination it tastes like exhaling a cig as a casual smoker. Pretty harsh bite. I like that. That combined with the superb inhale flavor this is my go to vape atm.

Virginia:
Not like the other virginias. Not that caramelly. Pretty harsh vape in- and exhale. Not that much of a flavor profile. Tastes a bit burnt. Nevertheless a good everyday vape.

Old english tobacco:
Really good. Good this new so I think it needs steeping because inhale flavor is not determinable for me now. Gives a good throat hit though. Exhale is a pleasant smooth nut-buttery flavor. I enjoy it.

So what tastes the most like a cig? Actually the blu classic tobacco in the carto ;). Maybe just because it tastes kinda burnt and has hardly any flavor. But given the palette of flavors I can get from the variety of liquids available that is not what I am looking for anymore. I just want that cig-like exhale and that is given by a lot of liquids.

More is definitely to come - maybe not just tobaccos and hopefully a bit more lets say upper class brands.

Oh conclusion for the one that quit smoking, got a nice setup and wants something at least a bit cig-a-like: get totally wicked old english or american red.

See y'all vapin'!
