Since I started vaping with 2 nice vaping devices, I have bought and tried out about 27 flavors, with some being pre-mixed e-liquid and the rest being DIY flavors I mixed. Unfortunately I have discovered I must be the most picky person on the planet when it comes to e-liquid! So the other day I needed a bunch of tank caps for my Ego-T and found the best prices at Indy Vapor Shop. While ordering I noticed they also sell Halo juices, so I ordered 4 tobacco flavors. They got here quick!

I ordered 1. Freedom juice, 2. Torque 56, 3. Menthol Ice, and 4. Tiki Juice(this was a mistake as I wanted to order Tribeca, but their ordering list is long and jumbled). Considering my new found flavor-snobbishness, I figured I would only kinda like 1 Halo flavor, and not like the others! Thats pretty much what happened with the 6 RAWR flavors I ordered(actually I dont really like any of them!) The other disappointment with this order is that you cannot get 7ml bottles in any strength other than 24mg/ml nicotine, and I use 12mg.

Even though I have a Lava Tube/Torpedo VVV with extra cartos, tanks, attys, I've found the Ego-T to be the best sampling system I have. I can rinse and remove ALL previous juice and flavor from the Ego-T atomizer and tank, and dry it within 3 minutes, then sample the next flavor with zero residue from the last!

1. So I tried the Freedom juice first. Right out of the mailbox it is very good to great. It has a true tobacco-ish flavor to it! Thats a first for me. None of the other ones I have bought really taste like tobacco. It is like a top quality tobacco, smooth, with a sweet top note of honey(just like the description!). If it gets better after steeping, it will be great for sure....

2. Next was Torque 56. I worried that this was going to be a rough tasting, harsh tobacco flavor, but it wasnt all that different from the Freedom juice. Its got a smooth, top quality tobacco flavor, with a slight hint of sweetness at the end. Its a more basic tobacco flavor, less complex, but not by much. Its also very good to great. It wasnt too harsh at all.

3. Next was the Tiki juice, which I didnt really want. It was the only slight disappointment. It is vapeable, but not great. It does have a slight "tropical" flavor, but its not too coconut or pineapple-ish like I figured it would be. Its OK. It has the good quality tobacco flavor with slight tropical notes.

4. Last was the Menthol Ice. I really dont prefer a lot of menthol even when I smoked menthol cigs. I was not a Salem or Kool smoker, I smoked Newport and L&M. But again, its got a top quality tobacco flavor with a strong menthol flavor. But its a slightly sweet, good tasting menthol. Its easily an all day vape too. I would like to try their Newpure/Truepure flavor, which is probably lower on the menthol scale, and the reason I didnt buy it this time is because there were just so many good reviews of Menthol Ice. This is a very good juice. Out of 6 menthol tobacco flavors I now have, this is the best....

Like I said above, if these get better after steeping, they will be great, and 2 out of 4 of these juices are almost already there now! Overall, Halo has fared the best among the brands I've tried as far as their good/bad ratio is concerned, because 2 out of 4 proving to be great, 1 flavor very good, and the 4th being OK is a win in my overly picky book!:2cool:

Some of these need to steep for a few days or even weeks, and I believe you have not even been vaping much longer than a few weeks. Could you please update us on how the juice is after you have given it some time for the flavors to blend?

ETA: especially the sweet ones, those take TIME and will completely change from when you get them

True, but he's not the only one who doesn't seriously steep juices before reviewing them. :( I find those reviews to be, frankly, unhelpful, as I KNOW those juices will change (often significantly) after steeping.

I usually will try a juice right out of the mail. It's a good indicator if I like it at that point. I've been vaping long enough to tell if I'm going to like a juice after a few weeks. There hasn't been more than 5 I've used that changed enough to make me like it past I'd say 2 to 3 weeks. If it sucks at that point I'm probably going to give it away or toss it. There has been a few. In most cases I can tell by the overall flavor when I open a bottle if it's going to be something that will mature to my liking.
Thanks for your reviews. I have some Halo flavors I'm going to review soon. I like what I've had from them so far.
