Like a lot of you, I have been on a quest for a replacement for my beloved Boge cartos to use in my carto tanks. So I've been trying a couple of different cartos in the hopes of finding something decent. I didn't care for Kangers too much. Yesterday I loaded up 3 Smoktech sr cartos, one hole punched, and they tasted slightly burned at my usual settings.

So, this morning, I took one out of the tank and added an extra hole, and it's vaping beautifully for me. I put an extra hole in the others as well. It just wasn't wicking fast enough. I like to vape a 3 ohm carto around 5.5V, and I set my VW at 10 watts. I vape around 60pg/40vg, 70pg/30vg. I think I may have found my replacement. So far, 3 of the 10 are working very nicely with 2 holes punched.

I don't really notice a difference compared to Boge. I'll see how this goes. I have 10 cartos, and I'm hoping for a 10 out of 10 success rate. I have no opinion on longevity yet, but I'll report back.

So far, I have filled and put 6 out of the 10 into my tanks, and have been performing flawlessly in my tanks. I am punching 2 holes, and the wicking is perfect, no leaking. The only difference is that after I "condom fill" the carto, I need to add 4-5 drops onto the top of the filler. A few dry pulls, and they're good to go. I would compare the draw to a Boge. I have put 8-10 mls of juice through the 1st one in a tank, about and it's still giving me a great vape. Flavor seems nice and clean. I might also mention that when I am vaping, I chain vape, and the wicking is keeping up with me very well. I got them here, Smoktech 3.0 ohm Steel Single Coil Short Cartomizer- 5 Pack - $8.49 : Stormys Vapor Cellar, Electronic Cigarettes & More

I punch my cartos with a jig and punch. By looking, I'd guess the holes are a bit over 1 mm. I think folks may notice a difference using the cartos alone, but in a tank, it doesn't matter because as long as the carto is primed well and the juice keeps wicking in, it's all good. If you try them, let us know what you think. :)

For the life of me I just can't get these ST1.7s to work well! I've occasionally tried one over the past year, and they have given me dry hits, so I gave up. Had to order a new carto-tank, so I got one with it and it was great. 1.7 after boge2.0 is awesome.

So I quickly ordered 2 boxes, and damn if they don't keep drying up on me again. Two big holes in for a carto tank. Thanks for the feedback on the Kangers, that's probably where I was going next.

I think I might just order a couple of boxes of Boges again, see how they are now. Altho I do not like to give them money now. Was going to try Iken's also, but that's an unreliable source lately.

It sure looks like all the manufacturers are putting their money into PV's and rebuildable attys, no new carto's coming out.

I have some mini ST 1.7's that I use on my Bogger bottom feeder. They work great. The more Hubby and I use these ST 3.0's, the more we like them. Honestly, I have never used anything but Boge cartos, and I can't tell the difference, except it needs several drops of juice into the filler after condom filling, before it goes into my tank. I will be ordering more for sure.

The RBA's are the coming thing, I believe. It's where I'd like to get, so I don't have to depend on cartos with problems, but I'm just not there yet. Too many of these things need a few revisions before they are sorted out.

I agree. I'm sticking with my cartotanks for a while. If the RBA's get all the bugs worked out, I may try them. But as long as I can get good cartos, that's where I'll stay. I diy, and I have about 15 fruit flavors, 12 dessert flavors, and 12 tobacco flavors. I'd go broke buying good quality RBA's right now, and I still think they're a little tricky.

That's the only place I could find them as well. Because they are so hard to find, I think they may have been overlooked by folks who are looking for a replacement for their Boge cartos. Just don't forget to drip several drops into the top of the filler after you condom fill from the bottom. Then they are ready for your tank. I am very impressed with them. Hubby and I are considering getting a supply for a year or two directly from ST.

my boges perform just like they always did before....maybe my tastebuds arent as good as other ppl's....they last 3 or 4 days (6ml's a day) like they always have.

this doesnt mean im not looking at other options...because you never know when the next great thing comes along. i have never used a carto tank as of yet.

Where have you been getting your Boges from, if I may ask?

My ST 3 ohm single coil cartos are still performing flawlessly in my tanks. I ordered 10, and all 10 worked and wicked beautifully. Tonight, Hubby said he liked the ST's better than Boge. The Boges we've been using are old Boge cartos from last winter. I just placed an order with ST for a large quantity of them. I am not ready to take a chance yet with new Boge cartos. I'm sold on them. :)

Lately I have heard some good stories about Boge's working well again, so I decided to roll the dice, big time. Yesterday I had Madvapes overnight me 10 boxes of LR SS Boges. I have one in a cut down 3.5mL carto tank, and one just rocking out by itself, and both are working absolutely wonderfully. No "turkey bacon" taste (I never experienced this, just quoting pbusardo, haha) or anything. They are working great, blowing some awesome clouds at some awesome flavor. Give the Boges a shot again. But again, I have only used 2 so far, but they are kicking it!

Edit: I should note that I forgot to mention that the resistance was off in both, 2.2 in one, 2.4 in another, but i'm using them on VV/VW devices anyways.
