It has been called to my attention (in a really rude, really anonymous email from a temporary inbox that cannot be replied to) that my signature "The original one stop DIY shop" might be taken as a jab toward a vendor here by that name.
I want to let everyone know that never, in any way was it intended that way. We've always had good relations with other suppliers and, well, making jabs at others in my sig everytime I post at ECF is just not how we do business!
I had not been very actively reading or posting on ECF for quite some time up until the tail end of last month, (mostly just the Women's Room <3, so I am not familiar with all of the vendors and didn't even know that One Stop existed.
The word "original" in my sig simply reflects that we were the first ever DIY superstore, or "one stop DIY shop". We were the first, then LiquidXpress was the next to open, a few weeks later. We have used the phrase "the original one stop DIY shop" since our opening.. It is on the first page of our website and has been there at least since May 2009 when we gave the site a facelift, and probably on the first design as well, though I don't recall for sure. It truly has nothing to do with any other store, and is, in fact, pure coincidence that another store happened to choose that phrase for their name.
I hope this clears up any misunderstanding that anyone may have, including my lovely anonymous-secret-admirer-emailer. I have PM'd Kimberly @ One Stop and explained to her the same way I explained here, and she had not been offended by my signature. Please note that she also had nothing to do with the rude email I received-- she's very friendly and pleasant.
