For those of you not familiar with the story my SIL Wayne was paralized from the waist down in a logging accident January 1st.
4 months after the accident he had modified his wood processor to run with hand controls and he got all his cordwood orders out. Since then he has modified every piece of equipment he has included a huge Cat skidder. He gets into that with the aid of a full body harness and hoist. He now has a van with wheelchair chair lift so he can get out and about. He has plans to get back in the woods soon but the snow is a setback not easily navigated in a wheelchair. His current project is a wheelchair-like device (sort of) that has tracks instead of wheels.
Wayne is an amazing guy. I'm really impressed with him.
Though I would share for those of you that might have wondered how he's doing.

I remember the story, Fran, it seems he has an indomitable spirit, your daughter obviously made a wonderful choice. I am so very happy to hear that he has adjusted as well as could be expected and then has gone the extra 9 yards.......:thumb:

My dad had one arm but never let it restrict him, in fact he drove a stick as it made no difference to him he always told me, the only thing he said he couldn't do was row!!!!

Fran thank you so much for sharing. I had not heard about your SIL. This is very inspiring for me which I needed this morn.
He is truly amazing, and I wish him continued success with all his endeavors. It is obvious that he has good family/friend support that helps give him the desire to overcome his limitations.

I worked a stint on a logging crew in my younger years. Was super hard work and VERY dangerous.

Its very inspirational to see someone deal with adversity so well. Thanks for sharing with us ;)
