My Splitfire just doesn't Vape well, why!?

My Splitfire has never really hit well. I've never been impressed by it, too many dry hits. I've watched videos on how to fill it: fill the bottom tank, prime the top of the wicks in the upper tank and in the atty. This only works briefly and it's back to dry hits. I've tried finding info here in the forum but got lost....Help!

I believe I figured it out. I watched a video on "youtube" of someone rewicking there Splitfire and he was getting some strange readings from his mod. Once he checked the wire wrap on the wicks he discovered they were touching the sides. This set off a bell in my head from other research I'd seen on "youtube" about burnt/dry hits. I looked down into the atty and it looked as if my coiled wire was in fact touching the sides. I gently moved them. So far it's worked like a charm, not one dry hit since!
