October 25, 2012 I smoked my last analog. My husband had this crazy idea that we were going to try to quit using patches. He made it a week lol. After some trial and error and switching to gum/lozenges and disposable e-cigs I managed to become a total nonsmoker 6 months later. I kept that up for just over a year. In the meantime I became a total witch with a capital B  This past memorial day after a pretty nasty fight with my husband I went out and picked up a couple disposables and haven't looked back. I have since upgraded to and ego tank system and finally feel like myself again. My husband says my personality is night and day. I am ecstatic to have saved my marriage. Now if I could just get him into vaping too :) Baby steps I guess. This forum helped me greatly though I was only lurking at the time. Thanks for all the helpful info!

congratulations, Im still fighting the battle with the stinkies, just cant seem to let go of the cigarettes and morning coffee or Im the ..... from hell. I too am wearing the patch, don't smoke as much but still learning how to inhale the vape. I think I would have much better luck if I can taste but taste buds are pretty much dead right now. I guess we all quit at different times, so I'll just keep fighting the battle LOL. My hubby's smokes too so it's pretty hard when you smell it and watch them smoke, I feel like Im denying myself, oh can you tell I love to smoke, well congratulations to you, keep us posted on your and husband progress

Thanks! Niane, hang in there. My dad is still smoking about a pack a day of the stinkies, but for him that is wonderful progress (he was a 3+ unfiltered smoker before.) Every day he smokes a little less and he actually told me and my mom that he thinks he might eventually be able to quit them completely. It does take a little getting used to. He kept flooding his cause he was trying to puff too hard lol. I really did enjoy the act of smoking so I do understand. Before I started back vaping, I noticed more and more that I really enjoyed it when my hubby would light up right next to me. I'd relish in taking a few deep second hand breaths :) Niane, what nicotine level are you vaping? I started my dad out pretty high at 36mg. I am at 12mg. I totally hated the patches. I did better with something that had immediate gratification (gum, lozenges and vaping.) It also helped with the oral fixation. Just an idea. Good luck!

Right with you on the morning coffee and a 'stinkie' - I totally get what you're saying. I feel lucky because my partner already quit, but am still finding it hard to switch completely over to the e-cig. Was doing really well, down to 10 or less a day, but then my beloved moggie died and I was so traumatised I went back to 2 PAD and now finding it difficult to get back to where I was. I love to smoke too, but am over 60 now and my lungs are suffering - and, almost worse, my teeth are being affected badly too.
I'm sure it is possible to quit smoking and we will do it if/when the time is right for us. I am definitely going to keep trying and I know the e-cig can be a big help.
My taste buds are pretty dull too, but I love my caramel macchiato juice - especially with a lovely coffee.
