My little intro

Hi all. I figure I better finally post here after lurking so long because it's only a matter of time before my question list becomes too long to figure out on my own. I am actually an ex-2+ pad-smoker of nearly 11 years, and 3.5 years off of nicotine gum. Last April I was going on a cruise and suddenly got curious what it would be like to relax with an e-cig. So I bought some disposables, and thought they were just the coolest thing in the world. After being knocked out after a couple puffs on a gas station ecig, I invested in White Cloud disposables and batteries and fell in love.

Then, due to some online peer pressure, I went to my local shop for an Ego. Then a bigger fancier Ego. Then a couple of Spinners. And now a nice Nemesis clone. I vape 6mg nic, love delicious flavors, and just enjoy my nicotine. Never drank much or drugged, but give me caffeine and nicotine and I'm my regular fun self!

Good grief this is an expensive hobby and I just love it all!! I have no vaping friends and my husband thinks I'm nuts, but it's making me happy so whatever .

Hello Annie, You sound like your in the same boat as I am. My husband quit cold Turkey 35 yrs ago and was constantly urging me to quit. I finally told him that my smoking was the only way I could put up with him and not go nuts. He stopped messing with me after that. 7 months ago I decided it was time, but I loved my nicotine. I started out with Blue ecig, went to a more advanced replaceable Carto model (that I paid WAY too much for)and finally due to a less than satisfying craveing looked for something better. You Tube showed me all I needed to start and my first ego came to my house to stay. It's been a fun trip and I don't care about the Money I spend on my little Hobby. What price is even 1 year of extra life worth ? My husband thinks I'm crazy but is thrilled that I found Vapeing. His comment is You smell so good it's worth it. Not to mention our house stayed calm and peaceful during the transition! So once again Welcome!

Either is fine, but keep in mind that sometimes older threads can have information that is outdated.

Thank you so much everyone! Good point, Coldrake. And Nana Gail, congrats on 7 months quit!! Man, I wish this stuff was around when I quit 11 years ago!! It was soooo hard compared to what I hear today. Such a lifesaver, and such freedom.

Sounds like you are off to a great start My husband thinks I am crazy too. I try hard not to run him over with buying new stuff. That was really hard in the beginning though. The buying will eventually slow down. It's always insane at 1st. You have to try a lot of stuff to find what works best for you. Good luck and congrats on making the switch. You won't be sorry you did.
