I switched from 70%VG to 80%VG and I've noticed my tongue feels a bit tired? Idk how to explain it, it's like the back of my tongue is tired... Anyone else experience this?
cant say I have had that happen to me. not much of a jump in VG to really be an issue there IMO, have you tried going back to 70 to check it. has your draw tightened up any?
You might just be experiencing vapor's tongue. Search for that term and u will see I lot of info. I agree with epic doom, that's not much of a change.
Good luck
I get the same feeling. My tongue feels like I have used it too much and it's tired. I noticed I get it when using my rebuildable that has a small air hole and 100%vg. I think it's because I draw harder trying to get it to wick faster. I can use a 60/40 blend in the same genesis and i don't seem to get tired tongue unless I chain vape all day. I started adding a few drops of water to my vg and it wicks a lot better and I haven't had tired tongue in a long time now.
for me when vapors tongue happens I generally cant taste my juice anymore. I guess it could be though people react differently. for that I vape something strong like black licorice or a strong mint flavor. I have also brushed my tongue and drank lots of water but the strong flavor usually does the trick.
I'm glad to hear I'm not alone, I was really worried that it was serious... When you say add water what do you mean? Like a drop in the liquid every time I fill it? Also is it mineral water?
I knew it wasn't vapor's tongue because I could still taste... But it's just a tired feeling, tried searching for it but found no one except flbutterfly1 above... I still didn't get vapor's tongue tho Lol wonder what that's like, mind you I smoke shisha at night time... Used to smoke shisha and cigarettes... Now just shisha... A bit off topic but yeah, surprised I didn't get it yet
I take it it's not an allergy to VG but rather my tongue being tired of drawing then. The juice is super thick tho, the amount of vapor that is produced is rather awkward in public at times... Also the fact that you get it with lower VG content when you vape a lot is also an indication that it is the draws
I add just a few drops of distilled water to my tank. It depends on the thickness of the vg usually two or three drops is perfect. For me it definitely isn't "vapers tongue" I do not lose the ability to taste the flavors. It is similar to the feeling you get when your jaw is tired from chewing beef jerky but is a tired tongue rather than tired jaw.
