My totally impractical mod project

This is the preliminary stages of my first mod. Power source is currently a 12v 2amp aftermarket surface wall wart. Has a mc34063 switching controller with external pfet. I have a pot to control the voltage and one to limit the current. It is just bread boarded now but with the 12v source I can adjust it from just over 3v to 10.5v and crank the current up until it runs out of juice or something pops.

Here's what I have so far if the image attaches.

I'm still waiting for some battery boxes and momentary on switches. I'll solder everything to a pcb after I do a bit more testing. Pretty sure if I heatsink the fet It'll be good for better than 10 amps at vape voltages though. I'm pretty happy with the current limiting pot though since I couldn't figure out how to do variable wattage.

I'd love to have a unit that I could just plug into the wall. Of course it would only be for use at home or office

I have parts coming to do like three of these and some chinese buck modules, voltage and amp displays. I figure I'll do
some battery powered and some I can run off of laptop power bricks for when I'm kicked back at home
