Hey Jollygiant, welcome to the club! The remaining members of the welcoming committee will be by shortly, once they're done nursing their superbowl related wounds.

I'd glad you got the Triton! I think it's a fabulous investment. Especially when you compare it to the rest of the vaping landscape and the relative (lack of) effort you have to put into actually using it. It's a solid, dependable choice with top quality flavor and vapor production, really.

I am 100% behind Tribeca for liquid. I cannot wholeheartedly recommend anything else, although others do swear by certain other flavors. I would *definitely* recommend that Tribeca is in your first order. I really think if you like tobacco related flavors, that's going to be at or near the top of your list. It's my all day vape.

Welcome to our group! You are now a Halon!

As far as juices go everyone's tastes are different. I love the Voodoo! Prime is my drinking vape. I vape 6 or more flavors in a typical day, just depends on what strikes my fancy at the time. That is one of the joys of vaping, you don't have to be locked into one flavor for the whole day/week/month/year! Experiment, you may surprise yourself on what you like!

The most cig like juices from Halo are torque for reds, turkish for lights (or if you smoked camel reds/blues) and Sub-Zero for menthols.

If you don't like a flavor, don't write it off. Like fine wine and women they get better with a little age. Also if they have a strong perfumey or chemically smell let it air out a bit. This is called steeping.

The learning curve is pretty high, but Halo makes it much easier. I smoked a few cigs a day for the first three days, and I have been off them since. You made an excellent choice going with Halo, and don't be afraid to branch off to other juices once you try all the ones you want to from Halo. If you do decide to try other juices, go through reputable companies, some of those chinese e-liquids can have dangerous chemicals and that's what we are here to avoid.

Good luck with your journey, and don't be afraid to ask any questions. I asked a ton of stupid questions in the start but everyone here is really friendly and helpful, seems to be nothing like the rest of the internet here.

Just be warned, some of the topics here can get a bit..... racey (in a fun way)

Welcome Jollygiant! I am so glad you went with the Triton and found us over here! It really is a dependable system and you are going to love it. So many people have stopped smoking using the Triton -- almost by accident because it was such a seamless transition. That's not to say you won't have some frustrations, but that is what we are all here for. You've got a great system, so now you just need to find a few juices that work for you. Once you find the sweet spot of great system and juices you like, you won't feel like you are giving up ANYTHING - it will be BETTER than cigarettes. You will feel better and smell better! Your sense of smell and taste will gradually return, too!

Pick up a few extra tanks so you can sample different flavors easily. I keep four or more flavors loaded up and ready to go. Finding flavors you like can be both fun and frustrating at the beginning. But, compared to the cost of cigarettes it is a small price to pay. When you are ordering more juice, pick up another battery or two, and some coils also.

Everyone here is super helpful and we've all been where you are - so just ask any questions you have!
Welcome!

Hey there! Longhorn in the g6 with mini tanks got me away from the stinkies. I also got the tobacco sampler. Most of them were good but I couldn't stand Turkish. Torgue56 is another good one, still use it. I've tired the menthol ones, don't think I care for them. You should definitely try kringles curse. It's a nice change from all the tobacco flavors. Going from two packs a day down to 5, thats a hell of a good start! Keep it up and you won't even notice you haven't had one.

Good luck!

Try the Prime...it is at the top of my list, followed by Turkish and Tribeca (tied). I am using a G6 with mini tanks, but one of these days will move up to the Triton. I somehow don't see me getting into all the equipment and fancy stuff, but I guess you never know. What I DO know is that from the minute I started with an e-cig I have had no need for those dirt devils (aka analogs) and haven't had one of them or even thought about having one. That is thanks to Halo!!

Congrats and welcome! I smoked Newports, and after going through the menthol sampler (finally killed it) I found that I like HX3 and Kringle's Curse. I'm enjoying Prime15 and Tribeca from the tobacco sampler, so I would recommend those two.

Kringle's Curse tastes like straight peppermint; at first it was weird because I was like "woah peppermint" but then I was like "woah... peppermint"

HX3 tastes more like a tobacco flavor to me than a menthol, but definitely has a hint of menthol--nowhere near that of Sub-zero or Menthol Ice.

Enjoy!

Thanks so much all. I am smoking my last analog shortly. Then destroying the rest of the pack, getting rid of the ashtrays and doing a bunch of laundry. Then to bed, tomorrow I wake up vape only. 26 years.........I really think it's gonna be ok this time.

Don't get rid of the ashtrays. If I didn't keep them (after cleaning thoroughly) I'd never find my Halo, lol. I use them to hold my ecigs just like a cigarette. Otherwise I put the ecigs down almost anywhere and there has to be a hunt for them several times a day.

Jollygiant, what kind of cigarettes did you smoke? That has a lot to do with what nicotine level you should be at when vaping.

I recommend Torque 56 over all other Halo flavors as far as getting an authentic, BOLD, cigarette flavor without any other flavors!
