I want to chime in and say that even as someone who's been in and out of vaping and really has been through the devices, I am having the exact same issue has the OP.

For me, I've bought everything - PTII, Aspire, iClear, multiple CE4/CE5's, ect ect - every single head I use in these devices burns up instantly or simply, if not burned, tastes like polyfill really. At 3.3V's or anything higher. VG or PG or mixed. No factors have made any difference whatsoever, and I've tried every factor I possibly can. It's completely opposite to the wonderful tastes that we all taste in the CE4's at juice bars. I can't get any device to taste bad while I'm sitting there sampling a vendor's supply.

The only recent experience that has proven any luck for me is the Cisco 3.5ohm dripping atty. The reason I bought this is because, like the OP, I use a Spinner-type battery, and I long have assumed it's simply overvolting upon the press. On the 3.5ohm atomizer (a super-high ohm, very low temperature), it worked beautifully, and though it dimmed in taste after about 30 minutes, it still tastes clean as pie and probably simply needs a little wash or dry burning.

Sometimes I wonder if Spinner batteries are a curse, but my biggest advice in the vaping world is to don't chase after expensive batteries if those who recommend it can't give a truly specific answer to why you need one - it's always wisest to know the problem before you tackle the problem!

Anyway, beyond my experience, I have indeed seen an income of experiences very alike to both mine and the OP's, where so many devices are tried that even based on that alone, something should have worked right now matter how inexperienced any users could accuse us of being. And with experiences like this, what I find is that really, no one can figure out what's going on. I've seen experiences where users finally fix a problem with one device, but fixing a problem that spans multiple devices? That's the confusing issue and I rarely see solutions to that particular pattern or else I'd instantly try the type of solution myself.

I guess the only thing I could advise is definately to clean your atties and tanks before using - distilled water, and vodka or grain alcohol if you're comfortable with that technique. Many also swear by various methods like hot water and boiling, though I don't recommend it because many devices have glues that can melt.
