I'm excited today! My first kayfun lite arrived. I have it setup with 24 Kanthal at 1.5 ohm. And loaded with my own blend of blueberry menthol 4mg 50/50/ (pg/vg). Such flavor! I am a happy camper today.

Glad to hear. I took my 1.3ohm coil out of my kayfun lite last night, and build a new .9ohm coil. Had the wattage to 35watts on the kayfun while its chunking vapor and flavor.

1.5 ohms with 24 gauge??? That coil must be gigantic. I'm definitely going to have to recommend you try building it with 28 gauge as well. 28 gauge has by far given me the best results with my kayfun.

Actually the coil isn't as big as it might sound...but yeah, I am ordering some 28 with my order next week. The 24 I have was just what was left of the bit I got to learn to build with.

I agree. That's why I was wondering what he was pushing it with. 28g works best for me also. Of course I understand building it with what's on hand cause it's new. I've done the same.

Nice. What mod are you running it on?

Believe it or not I am actually still using my Vision Spinner II at 4.8 volts (about 15 watts). I am ordering my mech mod next week, Knight clone by Tobeco. I'm still in the process of upgrading. The Kayfun came early because I ran into a deal I couldn't pass up.

How much power do you have available? Limited power means limited build options.
Posting at same time I guess. Not being able to adjust power input also limits options. RTA's can be dialed in real well if you can adjust the voltage supply. Ever consider a 30w or higher variable device? You might need a lot more for an rda, but 30w will cover just about anything you would want to do with a rebuildable, single coil tank.

Yeah, I was just trying it out and it was great on what power I had. I'm still in the process of graduating to Mech Mods. Next week I'm ordering a full mech mod and a V6. So I should get away with more then. And thanks for pointing this stuff out. It happens that I have looked into it but you never know when someone might not know. And being new at the mod stuff I learn something every day on these threads. Thank you all.

I hear that the ego style batteries such as the vision spinner 2 have a low amp limit of around 2.5(might be advertised lower for safety). I'm all for a cheaper set up, I used to run a 1.5ohm in my igo-s on my joye 650mah VV ego, but I knew the amp limit was cutting off most of the higher wattage calculations. After a certain point of dialing the voltage up the power would plateau because only so much current can be drawn. It was an awesome vape for a small ego battery, really getting the most out of it I feel. With a 1.5ohm you're probably getting somewhere from 9-10 watts of power on that battery(I could be mistaken about the amp limit, so it could be higher).

I'm fairly new to the kayfun and it's definitely exciting to build it. I run a similar resistance in mine with 28gauge 2mm coil I.D. with rayon, bounce around from 3.8-4.2 volts on my MVP2 depending on how I feel. It's a great RTA, I've been using it very often.

Imo, my kayfuns work best at 1.2-1.5 ohms @ 12-22 watts, depending on the juice/mood.

I recently replaced my 1.3ohm could in my kayfun and build a .9ohm coil for it. More vapor and flavor.... But using twice the amount of juice. I think a 1.3ohm is a good sweet spot for the kayfun.

When I use a 1.3ohm coil I don't go pass 30watts, when I use my .9ohm coil, I haven't gone past 40 watts. But currently it's hitting damn good at 15-20watts...
