My Vision Stardusts seem fussy over batteries. advice please

Hi just got my stardusts and so far I have tried 2 of them....but they appear fussy over which of my batteries they work on.

I have 5 batteries (2x original egos and 3x larger 950mah) which all work fine with other cartomizers.

One of my stardusts only works with one of the egos and not the others.
The other stardust only works with one of the 950's and not the others.

Any ideas please

it has noting to do with the stardust, ive been vaping for over 3 years now, have more devices and carto and atty then most people, just like mwa, a closet worth of stuff, so when i say batteries and mod connecotors are rarely alike that also means that not only a stardust will work differently form device to device but so will the dozens of other products, ce2 will fit differently on many types of ego's, sometimes they screw all the way donw on one device and then on a provari it leaves a huge gap, same applies for 510 atomizers, hopefully this info helps.

I have rouhgly around 60 different egos, and cartos and tanks and anyting out there will screw on and perform differently as well on alomst each of them, obviously some will have the same type of connector and will perform the same etc.. but the varients out there are huge, even usa mods , many use different connections.

china makes these to fit egos, so why would anyone expect them to fit a riva perfectly, or any other device that isnt a ego, you might need a extender mini for other devices. thats the nature of vaping when you have a million batteries out there and they are made by many different people.

Interesting, my batteries are all egos, standard ones and the xl ones, perhaps I didn't make that clear. I'm not saying they are not performing differently - they are not performing at all!

I am fairly new to vaping but have tried 5-6 other carts and atomizers and all my batteries have worked on all of them.

These have been performing pretty good---alien try a couple of things:

* the stardust has an adjustable connector pin (screw out with a flat head)
* Also as egos are used they actually do get their connection pins recessed, do try lifing them a bit.

Yeah I read the reviews of the first batch that went out so I was well aware that they may not work on all of my batteries, but since I had a few genuine joye egos, I hopped on the bandwagon. I was quite pleasantly surprised actually that I could use them on my Rivas with the Ego booster on it.

How do I lift out the connection pins? I'm looking down the end and see a flat round circle - are you saying pull it a bit with some long nose pliers?

EDIT - Hooray, just losened the round bits in the batteries a bit and now we all working excellent, thanks very much.

well what could also happen sometimes is this, the pin from whatever cartos or attys you use could have a pin that is much lower or the connection itself screw in deeper causing the pin in the batteries over time to be pushed in, those items will still fire on the batteries but maybe a different item where the pin isnt protruding far enough, then those might not make contact and fire, so then a little lifting of the pin is needed, im glad your up and running, good news indeed

excellent news, also in the stardust connector, that round little inner peace, if you slant it just a tad youll see it has a groove where you can use a small flat head screwdriver so you can turn it i think counter clockwise to lower it, or do like you did on the battery and it should work just fine.

Having taken several of these apart, perhaps this will help.

The center pin (positive post) should not be turned. There are no threads so turning is not helpful. The positive pin simply slides tightly thru a bottom silicone seal, then into another silicone ring that makes the positive connection at the coil. The pin can to be pulled down ever so slightly with a small needle nose or jewelers screwdriver wedged into the airway to sort of wiggle it down. But take care not to go any further than to even it up with the small metal ring that surrounds it!

And as has been noted, there are variances in different eGo type batteries. I have several different iterations of eGo batteries, some of which needed some modifications to either the carto or in one case, the battery itself for airflow. Luckily, I have 2 specific batteries that are flawless with the Stardust, and I primarily use those.

Here is my idea. The skirt at the bottom of the Stardust is bottoming out and preventing it from being screwed down any further to make contact with the battery. I too had this problem with mine. I would recommend trying this, it won't be easy but it only needs to move a tiny bit.

Remove the mouth piece, tighten down the Stardust onto the battery. It should feel like it bottomed out, like a screw hitting the bottom of something solid. Now try and wiggle the Stardust tube off. It will be very snug, but just keep trying and it will move a little. You can check your progress if you're able tighten the Stardust onto the battery a little more. Try using something as an alignment mark, something like one of the air hole notches lined up with the button.
