Finally! Took me most of the day to get it together...can't have much privacy with a bunch of kids running around lol. Right now I've got it running at 4.75 volts without load...hits like a ton! I did screw up my fast changing LED....I had the regulator turned up too high when I tested it..burned all but the red diode out...plus i wired up wrong...it was somehow wired up BEFORE the regulator...so I just clipped it out. Yeah...the wires are a bit long...but I wanted them that way since it was my first big mod...plenty of room for mistakes. Also overdrilled the atty connector hole...but a nice application of JBWeld took care of that...looks smooth lol.

One thing...if I ever build another, I'm using a four-barrel battery box...that way I have more room lol! Picture 4.jpgPicture 3.jpg

Right...so the power of both 14500's shot straight through the second I turned on the master power switch lol. Next thing I saw was a tiny puff of smoke and all but the red diodes stopped working. Its cool...if I ever want I've got a bright white LED in a little parts box...I can wire it up. I'm only out about 50 cents lol.

Did you use a resistor on the LED?
