My wick can't keep up?

Im running a Phoenix V10 on my Sigelei K100. For several months now, Ive been running roughly .4-.6ohm micro coils using either my ~20g thumb tacs or ~14g screwdriver neck. It hasn't been until recently my cotton ball wicks haven't been able to keep up with my coils if I'm pulling anything longer than a 2 second drag. Anything I can do to give them a little push? I have no clue how Ive changed my setup. Will larger diameter, shorter coils be more efficient for this since i can pack more wick into them? I know my flavor levels might drop, but Id much rather lose flavor rather than pop a lung on each hit.

My 3/32" coils wick quick.
My 1/16" straight coils wicked slow.
My 1/16" diamond coil wicks ok.
My 1/16" half diamond wicks ok.

Bigger works for me but many like micro.

I run 2, 1.2 ohms, 28 guage micro coils, 1/16 bit, cotton, running at 0.57 ohms. 30 amps battery. Stock holes wick nice and no problems.

You use enough cotton. Snip a one end short and tuck other end under and soak good. I get a few long drags no problems.
