Hey everyone,My names Wes and im a woodworker from Idaho,I wanted to show what ive built for my ecigs.Hope you like them
This a Black Walnut ego tube.

This is the tube completed.

This a Tigerwood batt cover for ego.

This is my Black Walnut/Tigerwood 4.8v puck mod.

This is my Mahogany/Flamed Maple 3.7 v box mod.It uses an ego connector so I can use 510 or ego atty/carts on it.....More in the next post.

I have to say the biggest pain for me is keeping the pieces attached to the wood.The quick steel seems to work fine but isnt very pretty.If anyone has some insight into this it would be greatly appreciated.

Well thank you very much The box mods were a challenge for me since I had never built one before but between the two ive learned a bit and caught the modding bug with it....next up will be a 5v and then maybe a VV.

Thank you Loveridden,I just ordered all the parts for a 5v mod...I hope it turns out as well as the others Gonna do a little refining to my method.

Very nicely crafted mods snipes. I suppose to get rid of the quick steel epoxy putty, you could switch to the connectors that have the nut and just have everything mechanically connected. Panel mount LED holders, switches and pots could continue this theme.

Thanks for the insight asdaq,The switch I used is a mechanically fastened switch but the walls of both boxs are to thick to allow using the nuts.I will have to look into all the options out there and see what I can find. I have thought about using two part epoxy as it is what i use to fill minor tearout in the furniture I build,but it can get very messy and there is not much room to work in those boxs. The last thing I would want is epoxt all over everything.

these are nicely made mand makes me want to go root round in my brothers wood working shop see if he has any purple heart left. We only carry basic woods at the lumber yard i work in(Oak pine poplar)

Try Jb Weld. what i use for holding my 510 connecter in the box mod and flashlight. takes about 13 hrs to dry then it can be filled or trimmed witha razer blade.

I had not thought of jb weld...might have to try that. Purpleheart is beautiful when its finished.I built a ccouple hand planes with it last year and I cant bring myself to use them cause they are too pretty.

Epoxy putty can be sanded and filed and drilled too, trouble is this is difficult to do in the small confines of a box mod with parts and wires all around. Maybe a less is more strategy with epoxy/ JB weld and apply very sparingly with a toothpick?
