n00b needs help with tanks

Hey there!


I have an ego-C 1000mAh MEGA manual e-cig nd I'm absolutely clueless about tanks. I've been using cartos -- which I'm kind of over since I have to continually keep refilling them every 5-10 minutes after a vape session.

1.) how do they work? how do you use them? can someone give me a step-by-step?
2.) if i wanted to switch from cartos to tanks, how would i do so? what do i need?

Hey Sneaky,

I, too, have an eGo C (mine's a Type B) and I received five rebuildable ego atomizers and five tanks (which include mouthpieces)
in my kit. Did you order a kit? If not, I know you can get them from www.cignot.com or just about anywhere Joye products are sold.

Others have great success with modded tanks like the Starburst or the BFT dual carto-tank. YouTube has great videos (check grimmGreen, pbusardo, geekgirlvapor) on other tanks that fit on the ego C and what sleeve you might need to buy to make the two look as if they belong together.

The tanks made to fit the ego C are a great place to start (and cheaper) but you have to also have the atomizer tube and atomizers by ego C.

You could always use XL or xxl cartos- hold from 1.8- 3 ml juice.
There are tank + carto. Carto has a hole in it and plastic, metal or glass tank filled with juice feeds the carto thru the hole. Then there's the Clearomizer type of tank- wick + element in a plastic or metal tank. Understand citrus juices may crack plastic tanks.

E-Go is in the middle) Get your self a slim tank like a 4 mil and some single coil low resistance pre punched cartomizers and your on your way. Just got a few E-Go twist's 1000mah and use it with the tank i suggested above and it's the BOMB! Friggin thing vapes like a freight train. The slim tank is not way out of place on the E-Go either as a 6 mil would be.

This is exactly what I use.. I love tanks! Fill that tank in the morning and it lasts almost all day (depending on how you vape, of course). I have 5 loaded and ready to go at all times. For the carto inside, I use single coil prepunched 2.0 ohm cartos,, they last almost a week before needing to be changed out. I've tried Stardusts, don't like them at all.. DCTs are the way to go.

Have to agree with Phat Daddie and Luvinit the Ego and a slim DCT! The beauty is you can customize that cartomizer and really find your personal "sweet spot" when vaping. The new ego twist is an amazing (some will say game changing) battery - from what I understand they will limit out on a dual-coil(3.7v) carto but on a single coil 2 or 3 ohm carto in a tank - for me it just doesn't get any better!

Many places sell a DCT cone that makes the ego battery and a DCT look fantastic too!

Do yourself a favor and get a cartomizer tank and a 2ohm SINGLE COIL cartomizer. The eGo is an under-powered battery to be using a dual coil cartomizer, regardless of what Smoketech includes with their DCT.

Whatever you do, don't bother with those stupid cartridges they call tanks on an eGo-T or eGo-C. Almost anything works better and is less trouble than that system.

If you want something truly trouble-free, leak free and that just works better than anything else, try a Vivi Nova tank. You won't have to buy or fill cartomizers again. You just unscrew the top and dump the juice in.
