I want to say first that I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth so anything negative in this review is simply a stating of fact and not meant to be a dig at where I got the stuff.
Where I got the stuff. Powerband! Thank you so much, I have been thoroughly enjoying my winnings.
My winnings. I posted in a contest thread and won the first prize (First time I have won something that I can remember, honestly) of a launcher v2 clone mod kit including a kanger protank 2 and an omega rda clone. So freaking awesome. I just said it but thank you again Powerband.
On to the review.
(I didn't receive it with the juice in it.. that's mine)
That is the packaging. Pretty simple. there's a nice quick start guide on the back of the box that tells you how to fill the protank and put it on the battery. It does call the protank a cartomizer, which is weird, but whatever.
That's the Launcher V2. It is really a rather cool looking mod. I enjoy the simple mechanical look it has and love that it telescopes. The threads are buttery smooth and unscrewing the battery tube completely actually takes much less time than I thought it would. The top cap and button both have copper contact pins. The bottom button is nicely recessed so I can set it down without having to lock it and it won't fire. Unfortunately that means that it doesn't lock and I don't really feel safe taking it around in my pocket or a bag or anything like that.. but that's whatever, I have a vv v3 and a nemesis for those needs. It fits the hand really nice and it sinks heat very efficiently. Where my nemesis begins to get warm after 4 or 5 hits in a row the Launcher seems to stay pretty cool. It looks quite sharp with my igo w on there too.
That is the battery that came with the Launcher v2. I don't think I'm going to use it. Been using my aw imrs. Wondering how to get rid of it, and maybe what it is? anyone got an idea?
On to the protank 2. I think it's fake. The above is a picture of the protank 2 I already had(left), I'm sure it's real.. It is shorter than the one that came with the launcher(right)
The gnarling on the bottom is different.. Bigger, rougher, and the threading is rough. Real (left) Fake (right)
fake protank 2 base and coil head on the left, Real on the right. You can see the difference right there.
The final thing that makes me think it's fake. The center post comes all the way out. That's actually really cool, and I like it.. but I haven't seen a PT2 that does that.. It also hits a little bit wonky, the airholes seem to be slightly blocked by some metal left behind when drilling them... I'll fix that later. Oh and the mouthpiece looks different, I'm not gonna put a pic of that up though.
The Omega is great. Really not sure what brand it is but I know it's a clone. I love the big airholes, the adjustability.. Really been enjoying the clouds it produces. But it does have problems. I can't use the post holes on it for a few reasons.. First being that they were drilled too low and the screws don't reach the bottom of them, so wires stay loose. The posts holes are also too close to the side wall, so it makes it a short nightmare. The airholes are also drilled perpendicular to the posts. You can kinda see in the picture.. Getting the coils anywhere near the air is very difficult, but worth it when you get it done right. Using the wrap around trapping method it works just fine.. Really enjoying it, and I love that drip tip.
Product of Launcher V2 + Omega RDA ^^ 1.0 ohm coil, 30g a1 with cotton, 50/50 vg pg pecan pie juice.
^^ I'm loving how it all looks. Drip tips on the launcher I got at an online store, they're out of stock now.
Honestly I would buy another of these launchers. Maybe 2. Thing hits crazy good, and looks super sharp. I've been carrying it around the entire time I'm home. It's really not very expensive, although I really can't recommend the N112 kit as a whole if they all come with protanks like what I got. It's just not the same quality I've come to enjoy from kanger products. Again thank you to Powerband. And I hope the review helps someone.
