If it is burnt, there is a reason.
..I have found that if you fry it too far it is toast, replace it. But I would just pull it out and give it a good priming then try again, if it tastes bad after the prime it is spent.
What percentages are the PG/VG? Perhaps if too thick you just need to slow down between draws.

New one, old one? we need more info than 'my toe is bleeding' to be able to tell you why
I had the same issue on my new Nautilus. Realized that the juice level in my tank had dropped slightly below the top of the holes on the coil. Won't make that mistake again.
i love my nautilus minis, as said above lower the vg to 70/30 or lower that helped my burnt taste big time. with anything higher than that would start to get hints of burning. also i dunno what your airflow setting is at but mine seem to wick much better on the 2nd or 3rd air hole.
The mini coils still use the cotton / ceramic wicking material and once they get that burnt taste it won't go away. One of the reasons I got rid of that tank. Like everyone said try a 50/50 blend of juice, the juice holes on the mini are tiny and you may need to do a primer pull every now and then.
