I started 3 months ago with Nautilus mini, Atlantis and the CF sub ohm. Quickly picked an istick.
I thought the Atlantis was going to kill me. Couldn't hit without choking and coughing. Lung and throat burning hacking. The nautilus was also a bit choking, didn't give me enough mouth feel and would get burnt quickly.

I was allergic...I got a bad unit... This piece of gear is junk...I'll never get off cigs... If it's not burning, it's gurgling... Arrrrrrgghhhh!!!

Nope. I was vaping like I had smoked. Strong short draws, mouth to lung in quick succession . I was either drawing to much liquid into the wick or sizzling off liquid faster than it could keep up (mostly the latter).

Slow it down a bit. Think about smoking a pipe. Longer, steadier, softer draws. Even if you aren't getting the coughing reaction I was, you might still be getting used the new delivery system. After a couple of weeks, I found that I wasn't burning a coil head everyday. It just sorta started working better.

Another handy tip: put your finger over the airflow hole and suck. You'll probably see a bubble or two come up from the bottom of the tank. That means more juice just went to your wick. Try that when it is starting to not taste or feel right and you catch it before you get to burnt.

With my Nautilus I "change the coil" fill the tank, put it back together, take a few draws covering the air hole to draw juice into the wick, let it sit for 5 minutes...BEFORE putting it on the iStick. If you burnt the coil replace it. Click 3 times and set the iStick to watts... use the arrows to set it on 8 or 9 watts, hit it, move up.. if it starts to taste bad, lower the watts or you'll burn another coil. I usually vape my Nautilus at 12 watts. Some people drip a few (2-3 drops of juice down the open end of the Nautilus coil BEFORE putting the tank back together, but I've never had to, using the method I just described. It's a great tank. Good luck.

If you bought it new it's possible it has the mystery meat coils. The replacement coils you buy should be cotton. That said , I have a original one in my tank and it tastes good but sometimes you get a bad coil. Change it and prime it properly. YouTube how to prime Nautilas coils
I agree.Have had a couple of 'dud' coils'.Mainly kanger dual coils.Son in law uses nautilus mini.I'll have to ask him if he's ran across a 'dud' right out of the box.

Dripping a few drops down the open end of the Nautilus coil allows you to prime it without waiting too long for it to soak in. The method I use to prime a coil is as follows:

1. Drip 2-3 drops into the open end of the coil.
2. Drip 1 small drop onto the wick hole (large enough to just cover the wick hole and wait for it to soak in). Do not put a large drop otherwise it will run down the side of the coil rather than soak into the wick. Then move and do the same with the next wick hole. Repeat this process until you have done all of the wick holes. Then repeat beginning with the first wick hole until you have done all the wick holes 3-4 times. You will notice that the time needed to soak in will increase with each time. If the soak in time is more than 5-6 seconds, then the wick is now saturated.
3. Fill the tank and screw the coil and bottom hardware onto the tank.
4. Take a few priming hits by covering the air holes and sucking in (I usually do about 3 or 4 hits) and this can be done either screwed onto the mod (without hitting the fire button) or not.
5. Start taking powered hits at a low power level and adjust to your desired wattage.

You can choose to either wait for 5-10 minutes for the juice to soak in well (between steps 4 and 5) or start vaping, but vaping at low power. Using this method, I can start vaping pretty much immediately without having to wait.

How would yoy guys prime tem

I got vamire vapes flavor citrus blast.

OK... so you've got a 40% VG liquid. Normally 40% VG is fine, but now and again you might benefit from pulling in some juice. I remember vaping Heisenberg and Lemon Sherbet and did actually get a few dry hits. Maybe they overdo the VG %.
