I need some help and Randall has agreed to let our ECF friends assist.

My daughter and her husband came to visit over Christmas and they surprised me with the gift of a New Kitten. I was absolutely thrilled !! They took me to the local animal shelter and introduced me to the kitten they had just adopted in my name.

He's 4 months old and absolutely adorable ... Take a look ...

He's a very personable little guy. Oh my gosh, he's got a purr engine like you would not believe. He follows me everywhere and loves to spend time in my lap ... My husband's, too.

But here's the problem. He needs a name. His shelter name was Lewis. WRONG. My daughter named him Sheldon (in honor of the 'Soft Kitty' song in the TV show Big Bang Theory). Again, WRONG.

So, here's the deal. I need suggestions for a name. Please post any that you think might work. I will let our younger daughter (she's 22 and just moved home after 2.5 yrs away at school) choose the winner. BTW, the kitten is quickly becoming "hers". LOL

Whoever posts the name she chooses will win a Free 6 Pack of Liquid Samplers. Your choice of flavors and strength. (Thanks Randall)

We'll let the contest run until the right name is found.

Please help !! I don't want "Kitty" to stick.

Thanks for your help and Let the names begin !!

He looks like he's got some patches so maybe just 'Patch'? I'm not very good at this!:p

lol one of my first thoughts too.

No. Our older daughter gave me the Kitten. She and her husband have returned home to Indiana.

ahh okay well forget that idea then ;)

okay... hmmm.... ya know.. with all the weird names that people give their cats I've always wondered why I've never met a single one who just simply called theirs .......

Scratch :D

I have real experience naming cats, and that looks like "Levi" to me.

I've got pics of my 2. The first os Lex. He is my Big Boy. The little one in the 2nd photo is his "pet", Justice". I say his "pet" cause she is ALWAYS following him.

Keep in mind the lil grey one is a full grown female......so you can see how HUGE Lex is!!!!

I should ask my boys to name it, but I can imagine what they would come up with. Kinda funny story... A pregnant stray cat showed up on our doorstep a couple of years ago (actually she was on our roof because the dogs put her up there). She stuck around long enough to have a litter of 4 kittens, 2 females and 2 males. They conned me into letting them keep the females so my wife made an appointment to get them fixed. As I'm sure you all know, vets now require you to give them a description and the name of the animal when you make an appointment. My wife described them as one gray female and one black female. When they asked for the name of the gray one my wife said, "um...Gray Kitty.". Ok, and the black one? "Um...Black Kitty." To this day they are still known as Gray Kitty and Black Kitty. Yes, my boys really think outside the box, I know...

Now with that being said, there is a lot of juice on the line in this competition. If the kitten did not have so much white on it, I would say it looks like a Puss n Boots. Still I would name it either Boots or Bootsie. Yeah, I know they obviously get it from their dad.
