I know it's a long shot but does anyone know what kind of battery this would be classified as and if possible is there an adapter that could make it eGo threaded?

This is part of the bullcrap I fell for at vaporzone dot com. I mean, ok, it got me to stop smoking and for that I should just shut up but I just wanted to see if there was a way to use this with different tanks since the one it came with SUCKS. Apparently the battery is crap too unless I did something to screw it up which I admit is certainly possible but when I first got it I would get 600 puffs on a full charge (it has a puff counter which apparently adds about $50 to the price SIGH) ANYWAY now it's not even a month and a half old and I get around 300 on a full charge.

SO, if anyone has any idea if I could do this please let me know. Thanks!

Oh here are the spes from the website:

  • tank Capacity 1.3ml
  • Battery Capacity 650mah
  • Atomizer Resistance 2.4+-0.2ohm
  • USB Charger Model HLT-USB Input: DC 5V Output DC 4.2V

All of which I figure is useless but oh well. It's the jet model BTW. Retails for ONLY $129!! (jeeeesus I wish I'd found ECF before I bought that thing!)

Thanks again!! :)

I'n on the vaporzone website right now. What an odd look thing.

How did you screw it up? I'm looking to see if I can match the threading, since they don't give any real specs on their site. Is it possible to post a picture of the bottom of the tank they sent to pu on it to get a better idea of the threading? I see similar ones, but they all to be unsealed.

I can't find the actual specs anywhere, I watched two short reviews and read a couple - they all sounded scripted by the company. No results came up when I paired the device name with 808 and 901 in searches.

I did find one review site that was trying to get more in-depth, but ran into the same problems I did. It appears that while some of VaporZones more expensive models may have 510 threading, the Jet does not. While the reviewer seemed to like the Jet, he noted, "The only thing I didn’t like about the Jet is that it is not very flexible, meaning that it is not compatible with other cartomizers and it only works with the one that it was designed for."

That's not good. Since the threading appears to by obscure, your choice of clearos/glassos/tanks,etc. will be limited. Most likely you will end up having to buy from VaporZone. Currently, they are only selling one clearo for the Jet, a top coil CE-type. It looks like the one that comes in the kit. $19.99 for the clearo and $19.95 for a pack of heads is very high.

The battery device itself is a standard 650mAh eGo-type device, with proprietary threading, that comes with a couple of bells and whistles -a battery level indicator and a puff counter. With effort, we may be able to figure out what the threading is, but finding a vendor who sells an adaptor for it would be even more of a challenge.

If this is the only set-up you planned to use, it might be fine, but if this is a stepping stone to trying different glassos or tanks, I suggest putting it away for back-up and get an eGo Twist or Vision Spinner.:2c:

That was SO sweet of you to look that up. Thank you!

On one hand I'm thankful for the stupid thing because I did stop smoking and have had no desire to smoke at ALL but on the other it pisses me off how they are ripping people off.

I understand making a profit and there's nothing wrong with that at all but they are charging $80 for something that they prolly pay like $5 for and not only that, they lock you in to only being able to maintain it with more of their crappy stupid overpriced products.

I know I shouldn't complain because I'm the idiot who bought it but I just want to tell everyone looking to start vaping to STAY AWAY from them.

Oh and hellllll no I'm not spending another dime there.

It happens when you're new. I had never heard the term "vaping," so when I looked on the internet I read about companies like VaporZone. I got a Green Smoke. I sent it back a few days later after finding vaping videos on youtube. Bye Green Smoke - Hello Joyetech eGo. It's a learning cure, but hey! You aren't smoking. :)

You want to read a rawr (my version of a rant)? This one I think did some good. Thanks to ECF when you Google their company name, my rawr is the second or third result. While their prices are still on the high side for some products, they are much lower than when I wrote my post.

All I can find was someone saying "this is new, It's not an ego threading". they say it's propriatary. I did read on their site saying "Most parts are interchangeable between different models. The Express cartridges are designed for the Express batteries only. The Jet cartomizer is designed for the jet battery only. However, adapters are available for certain models which could make this possible.". You might want to check to see if they sell an adapter.

In laymans terms, it is their own design, and it's up to them to make an adapter. They do not follow any standard but their own. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I was in the same boat as you when I started with Nicotek's starter pack. when I got an ego battery, it was like a whole new world opened up for me.
